djharvey Posted 11 March, 2013 Author Posted 11 March, 2013 These are the best pics I have seen. Pretty impressive & the rest of development.
Saint Garrett Posted 11 March, 2013 Posted 11 March, 2013 Yer believe It when I see it. Good to have plans though. Very impressive design! So how long til the "we'll never fill it" debate....
hypochondriac Posted 11 March, 2013 Posted 11 March, 2013 Bit of fun to see some plans. What will be impressive is when they become reality.
stevegrant Posted 11 March, 2013 Posted 11 March, 2013 Aren't those exactly the same artists impressions that were on that DVD sent out with season tickets last summer?
hypochondriac Posted 11 March, 2013 Posted 11 March, 2013 Aren't those exactly the same artists impressions that were on that DVD sent out with season tickets last summer? Very similar. Look slightly more detailed possibly?
djharvey Posted 11 March, 2013 Author Posted 11 March, 2013 Aren't those exactly the same artists impressions that were on that DVD sent out with season tickets last summer? Yes, but better quality and the overview one of the site is new.
sotonjoe Posted 11 March, 2013 Posted 11 March, 2013 We'll have the shiniest empty stadium in the Championship. Brilliant.
Bearsy Posted 11 March, 2013 Posted 11 March, 2013 what is the brown thing that looks like jawa sandcrawler?
sfc1976 Posted 11 March, 2013 Posted 11 March, 2013 Never been one to get excited about stadiums. Don't want a day out at a 'venue'. Just want to stand, sing and then leave. Couldn't give a fook about 'facilities' and all that w@nk. As long as it's not too far from the centre of town and holds enough people for the fan base then that's fine by me.

I don't want fancy restaurants and big complexes. Much rather a horrible area surrounded by terraced houses.

Judging by the pictures, you can see the water and the angle that Britannia Road leads off at so I would assume its not in a new location. I do however completely agree with your statement. Much prefer decrepit League 1 grounds to these posh fancy lego stadiums we now have to visit.
Saint_clark Posted 11 March, 2013 Posted 11 March, 2013 Very similar. Look slightly more detailed possibly? Yeah, look at the first post on that thread. Much more detail.
hypochondriac Posted 11 March, 2013 Posted 11 March, 2013 That doesn't look anything like Southampton. It is clean for a start.

doggface Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 These are new revised images/plans. Similar to the DVD but with upgrades/amendments. The birds eye view is odd though, it shows all stands other than kingsland level. All the others show all roofs raised other than the itchen. This could mean a 2 phase project (kingsland 1st)
oldskoolsi Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 The 2 pictures don't match. I the first there is the huge space for people to walk around across the road from ground but in second there are trees or bushes there plus a building not part of the site which would restrict the space.
lordswoodsaints Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 That's going to stick out like a sore thumb in that ****hole called st Mary's.
Faz Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 That's going to stick out like a sore thumb in that ****hole called st Mary's. I understand we are going in to partnership with a Tottenham supporting property developer which will somehow make us the largest fan owned club in the whole wide world.
ericofarabia Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 Nice to see the fans in stripes. Beat me to it!!
Joensuu Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 Does anyone know what the rust coloured box is? Just noticed it has ramps which connect to the Chapel-Kingsland corner. Wasn't it this corner that Cortese wanted to move the away fans to? I wonder if this is some strange away-fan lounge/bus collection point, which keeps the fans separate.
brmbrm Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 That doesn't look anything like Southampton. Nice pictures, but you are right: I think its Milton keynes.

I thought originally it was going to be an education centre or something of that ilk.
PhilippineSaint Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 I thought originally it was going to be an education centre or something of that ilk. Thats the new hypermarket with drive through to the carpark.
Spudders Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 what is the brown thing that looks like jawa sandcrawler? I think it is a jawa sandcrawler. With the relaxation of the borders there's been in influx of jawa coming over and taking our jobs, but they do fall in the saints catchment area so it's very astute of Cortese to try and attract them. I worry that we'll start to see a rise in Sandpeople as well, they'd be alright if they made more of an effort to sing & get behind the team.
Graffito Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 These CGIs are not based on any plans. They are inconsistent one between the others, appear to use land that the club doesn't own and show representations of surrounding buildings that don't exist. They are the product of somebody's vivid imagination. Pure fantasy I'm afraid.
Bucks Saint Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 Ah, is MP a highly qualified inner city architectural planner? All makes sense now
100%Red&White Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 These are new revised images/plans. Similar to the DVD but with upgrades/amendments. The birds eye view is odd though, it shows all stands other than kingsland level. All the others show all roofs raised other than the itchen. This could mean a 2 phase project (kingsland 1st) If you look a little closer you can see the 'ends' are also raised but kept single tier (the way 'ends' should be), in one of the first images of the Itchen you can see the roof of the Chapel/Northam is higher suggesting the Itchen will remain the same. I like grounds in working class areas but this does look impressive, we have to face it times have changed, we've already got a 'modern' stadium, might as well make it better. Looks like they've got their sights set firmly on that industrial estate to make it pay.

Surely they are on display in the local council planning office along with the compulsory purchase orders and objection letters.

True, at the mo about as definite as the skates famous 'Harbourdome' that was going to make them the envy of the world (chuckle). At least we've got a half decent stadium already.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 Cortese needs someone that can speak bachi as he believes it maybe what puncheon is speaking. Jawa sandcrawler dropping off some driods it found wandering round town. Looks like a nice city though, where is it?
Tokyo-Saint Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 I like the cars in this magical land, much better than our real life cars, more like the ones in iRobot.
dronskisaint Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 Where is Ted? First thing I thought too....I'd hope he'll be in a prominent position alongside other greats.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 I like the cars in this magical land, much better than our real life cars, more like the ones in iRobot. Is that not an Alfa 159 I can see?
Tokyo-Saint Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 No, it's the 720 super chipped monza limited edition but good guess.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 No, it's the 720 super chipped monza limited edition but good guess. Defo a 159...
Saint Garrett Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 Looks more like it should be the home of McClaren F1 team!
shirleysfc Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 Where is Ted? Melted down as Nick Nack (lololol pmsl) is trying to erase the clubs history etc.

Only just thawed out and got my voice back from Saturday. And yes, we are seeing a rise in numbers. Up to 18 at the Pub for games now.
charliegeorgesflymo Posted 12 March, 2013 Posted 12 March, 2013 Will I be able to get my brick back if they demolish the wall by the Saints shop?
