NickG Posted 11 March, 2013 Posted 11 March, 2013 What time do the away team normally arrive and do children get access for autographs, or do players get rushed straight through? Am I being grumpy saying we only need to arrive at 2.55, don't need to see players arrive, warm up, autographs etc??! May give in and do one early arrival.
Miltonroader07 Posted 11 March, 2013 Posted 11 March, 2013 They arrive in good time before the game and then they run around a bit, go back in the dressing room for a massage and a Tommy Tank then they go back on the pitch, just as this happens I arrive from the pub. pasty in hand and say ****ing Hell is Fox playing again !!! Hope that helps COYR
NickG Posted 14 March, 2013 Author Posted 14 March, 2013 Helpful saints community...anyone? Just want to know whether anyone's kids have managed to get autographs when away team arrive at St Marys, and if so when does the coach normally arrive? Cheers
La BoIS Saint Posted 14 March, 2013 Posted 14 March, 2013 I think Saints normally arrive about 1.5 - 2 hours before the game when we are away.

Cheers No, you can't get close enough for away team autographs - they park the coach right next to the players entrance and about 10 feet away from the closest point you can get to the coach. It's close enough to hurl abuse at the likes of Redknapp when they pitch up though... Edited 14 March, 2013 by trousers
SaintNeil90 Posted 14 March, 2013 Posted 14 March, 2013 Who cares about the away team... Only go early if the kid wants Saints autographs. Never encourage autographs from other teams. Hope this helps
melmacian_saint Posted 14 March, 2013 Posted 14 March, 2013 Protocol is usually 1.5 hours before KO I would say.
Griffo Posted 15 March, 2013 Posted 15 March, 2013 This reminds me of when we had United at home this season. Hundreds of Saints waiting for the United coach, all taking pictures and shouting to get their attention as they got off the coach. Then I saw a fat kid in the Saints home shirt with a Chelsea bag on his back. Ruined my day.

Hope this helps I like that he isn't hating other teams (one compulsory exception of course) and is impressed with good players. He loves saints, gets passionate at the game, will be wearing his saints shirt But knows all their players, can't wait to watch Suarez, Gerrard, Coutinhio etc (he knows all there team, not sure I do).. So his thrill and excitement when we score or win is even greater. Him going mad when we scored against Man C, turning and saying "I can't believe we are beating Man City, the champions!" Made my day and is memory I will cherish. Reminds some of us used to annually beating man u and years in prem how this looks to younger fans.
Griffo Posted 15 March, 2013 Posted 15 March, 2013 And what exactly were you doing there, oh super fan? Walking from the Prince of Wales past the ground to go to The Alex in town.
