Who would you like to be our hero?

As perrenial strugglers in the 90's, we as fans are used to a relegation battle or two, and usually they're a lot harder than this season's. Thankfully, then, we had Mr Le Tissier to come up with wondrous magic and 'single-handedly' keep us up season after season. It wasn't single-handedly of course, but his name shines out for scoring at important times. We've also seen the effect a short term player like Mickey Evans had on our chances of staying up.

 

So, this season, I ask you - Ignoring the possibility of relegation, who would you like to be our hero and keep us up? The player that sticks in memory of being the one that, without him, we'd have gone down?

 

For me it would be Ramirez, justifying his price tage at just the right time. I'd love to see him finish the season in red hot form, meaning either a more healthy transfer fee in the summer, or someone to really look forward to next season.

I'd like Gaston to drag us through the last 5 matches with Bale-esque performances. And then Cork to get a shot on target in the last minute of the last match with Begovic the Skate Taibi-ing it into the net to give us the 3 points, leaving us 6 points clear of relegation in 10th.
