um pahars Posted 30 November, 2008 Share Posted 30 November, 2008 Call me a retarded optimist, but is it not possible we could ourselves turn a profit this season? A loss of £4.9m last season, but I reckon we've cut our outgoings by a good £6m this year. I know we are down on gates, but I still think it's possible. You're a retarded optimist!!!! (please don't take offence;)). That loss of 5million was after a profit on player trading of something like 10million (12m brought in from player sales offset by player amortisation). Effectively, on normal operations last year we lost close to 15million, and then reduced this by the player sales of Jones, Baird, the balance of Theo and Bale etc. We've definitely saved some money, but can't see us turning around a 15 million deficit!!!!!
