Sour Mash Posted 15 March, 2013 Share Posted 15 March, 2013 My personal opinion. Think Morgan is our best player. Complete midfielder now he's added goals to his game. Schneiderlin has been excellent for us, but he's still not the complete midfielder - doesn't carry the ball enough for my liking making driving runs with it at his feet and doesn't shoot enough from outside the box - see Yaya Toure or Steve Garrard in their prime. Sour Mash Posted 15 March, 2013 Share Posted 15 March, 2013 Can we expect JWP to get a 5/10 mintue run out, regardless of what the score is or if we're chasing the game?

Saint_clark Posted 15 March, 2013 Share Posted 15 March, 2013 I expect so. MP needs to stop this. Why? Is he suddenly a bad player? He has scored for the first team before, by the way - and got his fair share of goals for the reserve and youth teams.
Appy Posted 15 March, 2013 Share Posted 15 March, 2013 Why? Is he suddenly a bad player? He has scored for the first team before, by the way - and got his fair share of goals for the reserve and youth teams. They were two poor/pointless substitutions - if Adkins had made them he'd have rightly got stick. I reckon MP is under pressure to have a certain number of academy products making an appearance in each game.

Fair point. If he could learn to score from 30 yards he'd be world class IMO.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 15 March, 2013 Share Posted 15 March, 2013 If it was Guly, I'd agree. However, I am all for giving one of the most promising young players we have some match time. He is a good player and brings energy to the end of games and presses well. It's not like we are bringing on someone sh!t with no future.

Jay Rod usually makes those kind of runs and shoots from outside the box. I don't think Schneiderlin wants to commit himself that much yet, but he will do. Wes Tender Posted 15 March, 2013 Share Posted 15 March, 2013 The Daily Fail reckon that Fox is fit and will make a comeback to the team together with Davis NO! mikee Posted 15 March, 2013 Share Posted 15 March, 2013 We're going to win 8 out of next 9 games just like MP did at Espanyol. In some ways this will be a 'easier' game than QPR.....more open, more suited to our pressing and more likely that we will create chances, as opposed to camping in their final third facing a parked bus. We're going to concede though. I'm predicting a thrilling 3-2 for Saints, with Suarez moaning and falling over every 5 minutes.

VectisSaint Posted 15 March, 2013 Share Posted 15 March, 2013 What are the chances of Forren being involved?Hopefully quite low, on the bench if necessary, but based on what I have seen I reaslly hope we don't have to risk him this season, Yoshi and Fonte will do nicely thanks as long as Yoshi doesn't have to cover for Fox. I don't see any better options at home. Davis is good to have on the bench to replace Gaston later on. Guly in case Lallana has a mare, it does mean really though that we don't have any game changes from the bench, good first XI but not a great deal else. dannysfc Posted 15 March, 2013 Share Posted 15 March, 2013 Am looking forward to being back at St Mary's as my last game was the 3-1 Man City game so am hoping for the same against Liverpool but after they put aside Wigan 4-0 and Spurs 3-2 I would be more than happy with a Point tbh against my 2nd team after Saints and am going for a 2-2 Draw with goals from Lambert & Puncheon-(?!)/Schneiderlin for Saints and Suarez & Gerrard/Allen for Liverpool But We'l See.....!!! I also have a lot of Respect for Brendan Rodgers & Liverpool tbh so will be Good to see what his managerial expertise to the test as well!!! COYR!!! The Kraken Posted 15 March, 2013 Share Posted 15 March, 2013 That would be an incredible waste of £4m. I hope you're wrong. True, it would be unlike Saints to overspend on talent compared to their productivity this season. Be fair to Forren, he's only had a couple of months to get up to speed. VectisSaint Posted 15 March, 2013 Share Posted 15 March, 2013 That would be an incredible waste of £4m. I hope you're wrong. True, but I don't see any reason to think he is as good as what we already have. There is little wrong with Yoshi or Fonte and both have more pace than Forren appears to have. They see Ramirez as the danger man (probably just because they were in for him...and bleedin' well should be at £12m!) but one of their's points out that he's heard Saints fans saying "can be great...but usually not". Tokyo-Saint Posted 16 March, 2013 Share Posted 16 March, 2013 Ha! They don't know us at all! Their attack is a lot more sophisticated than it was under Adkins. Yoshida at right back could be a danger as he is very aggressive going forward and very involved in their attacking moves and counter-attacks. !
