Liverpool Build Up Thread

Saint Garrett

My personal opinion. Think Morgan is our best player. Complete midfielder now he's added goals to his game.
Schneiderlin has been excellent for us, but he's still not the complete midfielder - doesn't carry the ball enough for my liking making driving runs with it at his feet and doesn't shoot enough from outside the box - see Yaya Toure or Steve Garrard in their prime.

Why? Is he suddenly a bad player?

He has scored for the first team before, by the way - and got his fair share of goals for the reserve and youth teams.

But he doesn't need to be brought on every game for 10 minutes.

They were two poor/pointless substitutions - if Adkins had made them he'd have rightly got stick. I reckon MP is under pressure to have a certain number of academy products making an appearance in each game.

Fair point. If he could learn to score from 30 yards he'd be world class IMO.

Jay Rod usually makes those kind of runs and shoots from outside the box. I don't think Schneiderlin wants to commit himself that much yet, but he will do.

We're going to win 8 out of next 9 games just like MP did at Espanyol. MP sought devine intervention, last time is was a pilgrimage this week we have a new pope! History will repeat itself and Saints will finish 10th.

A new pope who just happens to be........

Argentinian

tis a sign....

Precisely.

In some ways this will be a 'easier' game than QPR.....more open, more suited to our pressing and more likely that we will create chances, as opposed to camping in their final third facing a parked bus. We're going to concede though.

I'm predicting a thrilling 3-2 for Saints, with Suarez moaning and falling over every 5 minutes.

Liverpool are also less likely to come with the game plan of stopping us from playing, like QPR did. They'll come to attack and IMO, that'll suit us more.

What are the chances of Forren being involved?
Hopefully quite low, on the bench if necessary, but based on what I have seen I reaslly hope we don't have to risk him this season, Yoshi and Fonte will do nicely thanks as long as Yoshi doesn't have to cover for Fox.

For me that teams pretty much picks itself. I don't see any better options at home. Davis is good to have on the bench to replace Gaston later on. Guly in case Lallana has a mare, it does mean really though that we don't have any game changes from the bench, good first XI but not a great deal else.

Am looking forward to being back at St Mary's as my last game

was the 3-1 Man City game so am hoping for the same against

Liverpool but after they put aside Wigan 4-0 and

Spurs 3-2 I would be more than happy with a Point tbh against

my 2nd team after Saints and am going for a 2-2 Draw with goals

from Lambert & Puncheon-(?!)/Schneiderlin for Saints

and Suarez & Gerrard/Allen for Liverpool But We'l See.....!!!

I also have a lot of Respect for Brendan Rodgers & Liverpool tbh so

will be Good to see what his managerial expertise to the test as well!!!

COYR!!! :D

That would be an incredible waste of £4m. I hope you're wrong.

Is there a touch of complacency, over confidence or even hubris in Roger's comments? He's talking about teams going to Anfield and big games. That was last week. He'd be better focusing on his so called struggling opponents tomorrow at St Mary's.

An opposition view; looks generally like "it's only Sarf'ampton...", what you'd expect really. They see Ramirez as the danger man (probably just because they were in for him...and bleedin' well should be at £12m!) but one of their's points out that he's heard Saints fans saying "can be great...but usually not". One or two reasonable comments.

But check out 'Post 35' on first page, that's some analysis, their very own MLG!

That is one detailed analysis and pretty much spot on apart from the praise and "attacking quality" that Yoshida shows?

Not a great analysis though' date=' considering he says 'Yoshida at right back could be a danger as he is very aggressive going forward and very involved in their attacking moves and counter-attacks'.[/quote']

Hey, I never said it was...fook me, they don't even know who the mighty Graham Baker is over there...

Another one says he "f'kin hates Le Tissier...but...don't mind Pulis"...the ex-Skate manager or football genius son of? All very confusing...just wait til they see us playing in their 80s scally kit today.
