Liverpool Build Up Thread

We are unstoppable. The Southampton juggernaut is moving into 4th gear. Suarez is over rated, short, weak and lazy. They are struggling and only beat teams below them in the league. We've beaten Man City, they haven't. All together now "you're just a small town in Everton"

Not sure if you're trying to be funny or just being a bell end.

Rodgers philosophy is really taking shape now.

A bit too late for them to have much success this year.

They are starting to look really good and will probably beat us convincingly.

They are the emperors news clothes, everyone says they are great so everyone believes it, in reality they are an average side ith overrated, arrogant players. They don't have the benefit of young, hungry players who are guranteed to improve like wot we do.

And Liverpool are hardly a team in decline? Probably the 2nd biggest club in the country, who play some cracking football and have one of the best players in the world in Suarez playing for them as much as I despise the bloke.

They have a very good academy and have blooded quite a few youngsters recently. And have signed Sturridge who has hit the ground running there and Coutinho looks awesome. Them being there has also given Suarez another level as well.

Don't understand why you post just for the soul reason to **** people off. Odd.

A woman beater is the best player to come out of their academy. They have terrible players in their squad like Shelvey, Downing and Henderson. Remember how everyone sneered at the suggestion we sign Downing? Coutinho looks average at best. Sturridge is a big time ego who is certain to be a disaster of a signing. What's he done to justify his price tag, which was the same as Ramirez who IMO is a far, far better player.

A shame that sometimes truths surface amidst your sarcasm and sarcasm surfaces amidst your truths.

I will be more hopeful for an upset next Saturday if Liverpool beat Spurs today as it is typical Liverpool just when things are really looking up to lose to a team like us and typical Saints to perform better against decent sides.

Not this season it isn't. The only teams we've beaten who are above us are a Newcastle side beset by injuries and a disinterested Man amity, courtesy of a goal keeper error and a joke of an own goal.

You are so far from the truth I'm embarrassed for you.

Atleast this proves you haven't a clue about football. Which just confirmed something we all knew anyway.

Coming from someone who thinks a players worth to the team is based on what he might have done if he'd played more that is quite hilarious.

Or maybe I just think for £50k/week less Gaston is better than Adam Johnson. And also the fact that he has contributed more per minute on the pitch.....

Making up the wage still I see. Similar wages, higher transfer fee, less games, less goals, less assists but still you claim Ramirez is better. What was that you were saying about knowing nothing about football?

No. I said that Gaston has contributed more per minute he has been on the pitch.

David Nugent contributed more per minutes on the pitch for England than Bobby Charlton, Gary Linekar, Gasgoine and Shearer. He is the better player, yes?

It will be just like saints to go and win this one but my sensible head really can't see us getting annything our of this or the Chelski game to be honest.

It's all going horribly wrong again!

No it wouldn't. We've only beat two teams above us this season. It would be just like saints to lose this one.

Loads on here said we would loose heavily to Chelsea, Manure and City, and we got decent results (except against Manure, but we should of had a draw). I think we can get something out of this game and will go for a hard fought, with some heavy pressure from Liverpool at the end, 1-1 draw. We play are best games against top clubs and can play some good football.

Would go for:

----------- Boruc ---------

Clyne --- Fonte --- Yoshida --- Shaw

------- Cork ----- Morgan --------

Puncheon ----- Ramirez ------ Rodriquez

----------- Lambert ----------

Subs: Davis, Lallana, Hooiveld, Ward-Prowse, Davis, Guly, Sinclair/Chaplow*

(*Chaplow for some energy in midfield or Sinclair for a surprise inclusion)

COYRs

Arguably harsh on Hooiveld.

Spot on, as in nearly always wrong?

Sorry to say but we are due a downer. Saints 0 Everton 4 and Saints crashing down to reality.

Local game for me, I can't see us getting anything from this game. Norwich 2 Saints 0

I can see us winning this one, a hard game but Saints 2 QPR 0

I think we will struggle against the Geordies. Newcastle 2-0 Saints. Back in the mire.

Man City -Not expecting much from this game. If we can keep our losing margin down to 4 goals, we will have done well.

Wigan - Sorry, but I think we are going to get smacked in the head today. A shambolic 3-0 defeat for the Saints sees us spinning into the bottom 3

We will be lucky to get any thing from this match, in fact I think we will be taught a lesson Manure 7 - Saints 1

Two results correct out of seven is pretty impressive and he was even closer with the scores.

going by this, I'd rather dalek keep it up as the only time he's predicted us to win in this quote, we lost... and against qpr!

1st 7 pick themselves omitting jos as he cannot deal with the trickery of the like of Suarez.

I would go punch Davis Lallana Lambert. Ramirez has not had a good game since 1st half vs Everton and is a waste of a player. Been impressed with j rod however we need to counter that skate Johnson going forward and j rod is an awful tackler. Lallana to occupy him. J rod Gaston and Mayuka gives us great attacking options on the bench. I feel quietly confident...

J Rod is better defensively than Lallana for me...

I think we are playing Liverpool at a very bad time, as they are hitting a good run, and I have the feeling, that the comeback today by Chelsea might spark them into life.

I am getting a little worried, as I see a couple of defeats coming up, and you would hope to win 1 of 2 at home! Then a trip to Reading!
