Shaw look's very Bale esque when he storms at the defenders

Just think how good he'll look with another 6-years of first team football! Bale is 23 now so coming into his prime, Shaw doesn't look all that far behind him.

Yoshida is just terrible. How have we not scored?

Clearly along with fox not good enough for the premiership

Yoshi defo not a right back.

Amen to that. Good on him for giving it his best though, he certainly tries.

Yoshida at rb still puzzles me. Never looks right there. I think he has enough about him to come good at cb but why chuck him out right the way we play with attacking responsiblity given to our full backs? Bizarre!

We need to get Yoshi off and get someone who knows how to play football on!

Behave. Yoshi knows how to play football, he just isn't a RB and this is what happens when you play people out of position.

He is having a shocker. Get him off before he costs us a goal!

Fingers crossed then that Clyne is fit enough to play.

Why has Tino played him here then?

The only other option would be Richardson or playing an injured player. All three are equally as bad, IMO, but I'd probably have gone for Richardson.

I don't disagree, but it's not because he doesn't know how to play football.

Agreed. If Clyne is fit enough to be on the bench then he is fit enough to play a half. Even a semi-fit Clyne would be a much better option than Yoshi.

That would get my vote. If not, Cork to RB and Ward-Prowse on in him place.

Cork is a good RB

I thought he was meant to have performed well there v Stoke away.

Agreed, just posted similar above - Cork to RB and Ward-Prowse in his place would be a decent option.

but would be a major loss in midfield if we move him back, especially with Davis injured.

We've got some good options in midfield though, whereas we're very weak at the back. It is a loss, but one that won't cripple us.

Never a hand ball, never a yello, but possibly should have been a pen

Clear pen for once.

First half has been a massive advert for a rugby style TV ref!

But its an option, Yoshi at RB has been a mistake imho.

MP needs to mchnage this at HT as Norwich will take advantage if not

Gaston is an utterly infuriating player. One of those who, in a better team, would set the world alight.

He needs to grow some balls. Stop chucking himself on the ground and USE his undoubted talent by staying on his bloody feet!

Been pretty decent today for me.

Yeah he has been more effective than in other away games I've seen, but he still needs to learn not to throw himself to the ground at the first opportunity. He had a 50-50 chase on just now and just fell over as soon as there was the slightest shoulder-contact with the defender.

We are so much the better side. Schneiderlin, Gaston, Lallana, Fonte, Lambert, Boruc... and SHAW... all had strong halves. Maya??!!! With Clyne on and fit, I think we'll win this.

Posted

Poor first half, all possession with no threat just like last week. If Norwich had a player with a bit of pace up front like QPR we'd probably be losing this right now.

Yoshida obviously at right back to win headers against a good set piece team. (Like @ stoke)

clyne would get raped in the air but 100% better on the deck.
