Another guitar icon has sadly died too young

Used to see Ten Years After regularly at The Guildhall back in the day. A brilliant band and Alvin was a superb guitarist. Very sad.

Was in Sweden and missed this....really saddened.

 

One of the best guitarists I've ever seen and certainly one of the fastest technically, was lucky enough to see him a few times including the IOW...spent a sad/happy evening yesterday going through the youtube offerings.

 

The Woodstock version of 'Goin Home' and 'Bluest Blues' will, for me, be his epitaph.

 

RIP and thanks for being part of the backdrop to my youth.
