Team playing well under Pochettino: MYTH

exactly, with a side containing what 6 players who have since shown they can cut it with the best in the PL. Getting out of League 1 with that side was just a formality, anyone could have done it.

So you are saying pardew put together the team that got us to the prem, innit?

not really, a couple of them were already here before Pardew, AOC came from the Academy etc. All I'm sayng is thatwith the side he had promotion was a formality without the -10 points. Still finished second though, probably due to the woefully thought out Wilkins period. Although when I said "anyone" I forgot to exclude Dean Wilkins...

Tino has a 33% win ratio Nigel had a 54% win ratio.

Lets not get carried away yet. Wins against weak Chelsea and Liverpool teams dont make him the new Alex Ferguson.

(a)...Not in the Premier League he didn't......5 wins in 22 games - isn't 54% - is it Glasgow?

or looking at it another way.(statistically) NA achieved 22 pts.of a possible 66..this season MP's tally so far is ...12 poiints of a poss. 27

(b) ...Can there be such a thing as a weak side in a club like Chelsea? . Practically everyone in their first team squad is an international.......

©....who mentioned Alex Ferguson?

Chelsea made 7 changes so was a weak team yes or no

would we have said the same if they made 7 changes before playing villa, Wigan, Sunderland?

Where are those 7 changes coming from?

What lineup do they compare with then?

How many players were they really missing in the lineup that deffo would be starting if they choose their best team?

Mata, Hazard, Cole and perhaps Luiz.

Torres has played more games than Ba last few months. Choose two from Ramires, Lampard, Mikel is pretty much the same no matter who they choose.

(1)...see # 425 again.. .NA had 5 wins in 22 games ....MP has 3 wins in 9. ..and better % of points. You didn't respond to the figures above......

(2) He made changes.....who said the prev. side he played was a strong one ?

Chelsea had one of the best goalies in the world. Two England internationals with over 150 caps caps between them...and a £50 million striker...call that weak?

I may be old, but not that old that I have only a fixed amount of breath left in me ;)

I have been told that if people report his trolling posts (ie. The posts he makes just to wind people up, the lies on what people have said etc) he WILL be banned. I am therefore going to follow him around and report as many of these posts as possible so he can no longer post. Wish me luck.

When you put it like that :)

Also worth remembering that we had no Adam, no Ramirez, no Boruc (2nd half)

No but seriously Glasgow...it was beginning to sound like one of those weekend media critics who condemn Saints because they don't play like Barcelona every week.

Truth is every manager puts out a team he thinks will get the result he wants, and if they don't perform on the day....or, he guesses wrong with his subbing, then it's his responsibility.

No team gets 100% possession, but even with Chelsea's second half " revival " we still managed 57/43 possesion in the whole game. Not bad - even without our players you mentioned.

The change of strategy - using the same players - proves that MP is every bit as good as NA.....and the remaining fixtures will show us whether MP has that " X -factor " that Nigel lacked.

P13 W4 D5 L4

Goals 17

Against 17

After taking over a team in top form and improving week on week the results under Pinocchio are disappointing. Think we would be 40+ points now under Nigel

Suggests he can get the players motivated for (some) big teams but cant deliver the bread n butter

At a guess your thoughts are we stayed up with Poch, which you didn't think we'd necessarily do with Nige, so you're very happy.

Yeah, I saw that as well. I have tried to prove numerous times who I am, but no-one wants to accept it. It's unfortunate, but what can I do.

I was extremely disappointed when Pochettino came in, not because I thought Adkins was an amazing manager (he is a good manager though), but due to the timing. However, even though last season we undeniably tailed off towards the end of the season, I feel this season we have gone to that next level. Whether we can keep hold of MP I don't know, but I for one hope we can.

It doesnt bother me. I just think think if someone were to come back under a different guise, it probably wouldn't hep their cover if they dig up an old thread which shows up their ***** buddy from their previous incarnation in a bad light (not that he needs the help).
