30 Points still up for grabs

Think we need to relax a tad, obviously yesterday was a bad result but nothing has changed apart us and the teams below (bar villa) having more goals put passed them.

When you look at the table we are actually in a better position than yesterday before KO as the teams below us are now on worse GD.

With 30 points still to play for IMO we will be safe, I know we won't win all our remaining games but we certainly won't loose all of them either. Surely another 8 - 10 points isn't out of the question with the fixtures we have ?

It's been one hell of a ride this season, I'd take us being where we are today over being back in L1 like we were only 2 seasons ago.

We're in a worse position since we didn't pick up any points in a game we were expected to win. According to the bookies we are 3/1 to go down and were about 5/1 before the game. Still have a very good chance of staying up though.

I don't disagree. I think there will still be some nervous moments but in the end we'll get just enough points.

Massively worrying perfromance yesterday, although QPR still did not deserve more than a point at best. Providing we dont have another big debate about Adkins/Cortese and the mood is positive I expect us to get 40 points (exactly by my predictions) and still have us staying up. But Norwich needs to be at least one of them

Not panicking whatsoever. I've said we'll finish bottom five all season and stay up and nothing happened yesterday to change that, especially as Reading and Wigan failed to capitalise.

We will do enough to stay up.

Why all this talk of relegation? I thought the forum experts said we were definitely going for tenth?

Yesterday's result put us right back in the sh!t. New manager syndrome has worn off, our game has been figured out and wether our manager is up for the job is a complete unknown.

If we don't get a decent reaction and result at Norwich it won't bode well.

It's not just the result that worries me, we have some tough games coming up and we really need to up our performances in comparison to the last 2 games. FWIW I think we'll stay up but it'll be close. The problem is if we get into a run of poor results that can be difficult to break

We were fortunate with the other results yesterday. I think we're also fortunate that Reading and Wigan are absolutely horrific this year. I think this will finally be Wigans year, they can't keep scraping along - and they don't have any special talents in that squad this year.

We still have a 7 pt cushion on QPR as well, so we're not in a bad position. I just worry what it will look like after the next 3 games, as I bet QPR now mount a charge and push up. It could well end up being the final position is decided between ourselves, QPR and Villa.

The frustration I have though, is that it looks as if we're going to struggle till the end. We looked the same under Adkins, so why the rush to change it now? To justify the change in January, IMO, we needed to pull away from the bottom 3, not still be hovering in the mire. Otherwise the timing of it makes even less sense.

Last time I checked QPR were below us. They now have better goal difference and are 3 points better off.

Yesterday was a great opportunity to put a nail in their (QPR's) coffin and to give ourselves some breathing space. Instead, the result could well be their trigger to put a good run together (they have some very winnable games coming up; which means they could get out of trouble (I don't think they will though). Yesterday is one game that we REALLY needed to and should have won. Not only because we were at home to the team rock bottom of the table but because of who their manager is!

In any event, it wasn't just the terrible result but the abysmal performance which worries me.

It's going to be fun, so sit back and enjoy.

Saying this staying up or going down this season, could have a huge impact of the future of SFC. With the money up for grabs in the premier league next season, and with spending coming under the microscope, we would be in great shape.

Go down and we could miss out on our vision.
