Georgie Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 I thought he had concussion, didn't he take a blow to the head ten minutes before? When he walked off he looked very disorientated, or drunk even!
Saint Without a Halo Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 Concussed according to MP should be Ok
Saint Garrett Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 Yer looked like he was struggling to walk off. Despite this I didn't think he should have started anyway and thought it was a blessing in disguise when he did go off. Kingsland Red Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 I think Lallana is more incisive than any of your 'midfield' ,SG.
pangy Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 Ramirez and fox on the left is a recipe for disaster If fox starts the next game Guly should start imo for that extra defensive cover
Saint Garrett Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 Ramirez players CAM....Lallana was wide left. Then Jrod came on and played there.
DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 Saw a perfect view of the "collision" Clint hill is an arse hole he raised his elbow right into Lallanas face then went down holding his face
Saint Garrett Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 Saw a perfect view of the "collision" Clint hill is an arse hole he raised his elbow right into Lallanas face then went down holding his face Interesting....couldn't see from where I was. Surely if this is the case he'll be reprimanded?? Football first will show it...
Junior Mullet Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 Saw a perfect view of the "collision" Clint hill is an arse hole he raised his elbow right into Lallanas face then went down holding his face Ref went over with a card and then changed his mind seemingly and just gave a drop ball. Odd. MP said Adam had a neck injury and was groggy. He'll be fine.
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 I think Lallana is more incisive than any of your 'midfield' ,SG. Lallana incisive? He does not know the meaning of the word. Great lad and all that but far too much fiddle faddle.

There was a lot of fiddle faddling going on today, not just from Lallana either.

Normally I agree with your posts but how can you arrive at that conclusion? He is capable of perfectly weighted passing (for RL last week), beautifully disguised passes and can beat defenders on a sixpence to set up chances...I thought last week that he was regaining form and fitness...he got a lot of rough treatment today and didn't show at his best but can't agree he's not incisive! Andre Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 Rodriguez on the left has been great this season, I say he comes in if Lallana's out, no question. Also I noticed Lallana kicked ass when he was moved to the right wing against Newcastle, so why not play him there and Puncheon (left-footed) on the left? Might be worth a shot, Poch. Red Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 We miss his creativity when he's not in the team. Think back. We missed it today after he went off. Hollicks - we were much better when he went off and JR replaced him (who BTW made the goal, and nearly had one or two more). What is this love-in about AL?? OK he is great when on form, but he is not on form now, and no way should be captain - can't rally himself, never mind the rest of the team. Should be Fonte or Spider IMO. I'll say it again, think back to when he's been injured and how we struggled. We created very little today and that's why we didn't win.

I really like AL and when on form he is great (not a god but great non the less). As for the captaincy part, I just don't get it - he is not a natural leader, and I do not see him rallying the players during a game (specially when we are down, or performing poorly). He is no Roy Keane, and I just think someone else (Fonte, Lambert) would be more effective - just my opinion. Also it seems that AL performs better when he does not have the responsibility of captaincy (I say seems as I have no proof, but it seems that way to me!). We don't seem to have anyone who can "kick our players up the backside" when we are struggling in a game - as someone said in an earlier thread, it's all pretty patty football, but where is the "Norman Hunter" when we are in the mire?? I reckon, if we had Roy Keane as our captain we would have won this game - simple!

Saint Garrett Posted 3 March, 2013 Share Posted 3 March, 2013 If Fox starts the next game our manager has really lost it! Plain and simple it must not happen! Shaw looked about 20% fit tbf and was only on the bench just in case. He was stretching every time the play stopped yesterday clearly struggling. slickmick Posted 3 March, 2013 Share Posted 3 March, 2013 Adam hasn't got going this season for one reason or another. J Rod looks more of a threat with each passing game. He's looking faster, stronger and more direct. I can see him getting on the scoresheet more regulary than Adam.
ericofarabia Posted 3 March, 2013 Share Posted 3 March, 2013 Ref went over with a card and then changed his mind seemingly and just gave a drop ball. Odd. MP said Adam had a neck injury and was groggy. He'll be fine. To make it even more baffling Webb then instructed Gaston to pass it back to their keeper, even though we were on the attack and our player was taken out of the game whilst running onto a pass. WTF was that about.
