SuperMikey Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 Tried starting several songs but nobody was having it today. QPR fans were good - weird because they were completely silent at their place.

rshephard3 Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 It's harsh to blame the fans for lack of support when most attacking Saints players couldn't even be bothered to move for one another. I'd say well done for another full house to be honest.

Andre Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 There was one nutter in our corner going mad at Fonte for very little reason, it did annoy me a bit. Other than that, some players had an awful day at the office... although really we should always be getting behind the boys. A few fights broke out as well, looked like people were jacked up in the wrong way which is always a shame.

ant Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 Probably because everyone was ****ed off and nervous because the game was pants That's the main time when fans can have an influence and pick a team up, surely? This season the Northam has been the quietest and dullest I've ever known it to be. Sang as much as I could but was literally a lone voice for much of the game. Could hear a bit of noise up at the bac of the stand and some more vocal support from the Kingsland North but overall we bottled it.

Lots of scraps on the road by the king Alfred afterwards. Only saw about 2 policemen. Saint Garrett Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 I didn't see too much as there was too many people around but saw lots of people from both sides "looking for it". 2 policemen in between them and a bit of trouble between the groups. One bloke was arrested. Didnt see much else from where I was amongst crowds.

It was only going to make the QPR fans sing louder for support of that numpty. Detracting from getting behind the lads.

Wiggles31 Posted 2 March, 2013 Author Share Posted 2 March, 2013 It was flat really from KO. Might of been nerves. Sometimes it frustrating though as you can see the lads needs a lift. All the mongs yelling out abuse at players like Fox and critical comments at any misplaced pass etc. For a game of this magnitude we should really have been right behind the lads in voice. Just didn't happen.
John Boy Saint Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 Lawrie Mac always said that the team need to do something to get the crowd going, once they did the place was rocking. Seems like its a genetic flaw in us Saints supporters, so nowt new. The team seemed to be on different hymn sheet today QPR were pretty dire and we sank to their level and as a result so did us supporters. Aint nowt anyone can do about it. Saints Warrior Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 Ok on block 37, but fans realised what was happening on the pitch and you could see QPR scoring with ease on the break which we know Saints cant score more than they let in all the time. Saints fans are realists they see pitch half empty not half full!!! When to football is poor then fans chant about other things going on, I nearly fell a sleep from the side to side and back passing

CaneNero Posted 2 March, 2013 Share Posted 2 March, 2013 As fans we range from **** to average. What's the point of going to a game saying nothing for 90 minutes like 1/2 the fans do. This is actually a leaf we could take out of the skates' book. Suomi Saint Posted 3 March, 2013 Share Posted 3 March, 2013 You can't blame the crowd. They turned up, parted with their hard earned cash, and were subjected to that abysmal display. It's no wonder they didn't feel in the mood to sing. I sat in my front room in Qatar utterly disgusted with MP and his selection/tactics. To be honest, booing and slow-hand clapping would have been in order. It used to happen at The Dell in the old days, even under Lawrie. There is nothing wrong with letting the players/manager know that the performance is not up to standard. They are not beyond reproach and need a real kick up the backside. alehouseboys Posted 3 March, 2013 Share Posted 3 March, 2013 I would think MP is feeling a little bit stupid and let down today after coming out with the "more passionate than Barca" and 'arry was gonna enter a "hate-fuelled" arena, I feel embarrassed for him. Saggy got out of jail free again. Other than a bit of grief from a few over in the corner the rest of the stadium was as placid as any I've ever been in. The Chapel end of the ground would make more noise if they were cardboard cut-outs rustling in the wind. 3,000 QPR made more noise than 29,000 of our lot in a game where everyone should haven't have needed any other reason to be at it for 90 minutes, we're right back in it now.
