An interesting evening

Behave yourself.

Go back and have a look at my posts and I think you'll find there's loads of support for Jan, and also loads of praise for him going out and meeting the supporters on their own turf.

Maybe if you need to look in the mirror with regards being divisive, negative and judgemental.

It's you again. You simply couldn't leave it with praise for Jan, you had to put your snide little but's into every post and complain about how we were playing when in the game you've seen.

I am now convinced you don't even know you're doing it. They say love is blind and you're walking about like a teenager after his first kiss.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Your negativity is helping to extinguish even the positive and interesting threads on here.

Ah great, another good report on something that is relevant to the club and supporters that many of us could not get to. Good report Ladysaint & furioussb and thanks.

What a shame it then descends into the usual insults and point scoring by the usual suspects.

Think it is about time we set up our own UFC forum and just locked everyone in the cage, or else let people start their own "Saints related news" threads.

It's a good thing that people take the time to meet supporters. As far as I can tell they aren't skiving off training to do it and it probably gives them some enjoyable release from the pressure.

But thanks to those who have taken the time and effort to point out to us that our results at home have not been very good.

None of us had spotted that and certainly had not worked out that it was all due to the fact that they were spending time with the fans.

Considering all the posts you make about us being lucky to be able to express our opinions in this country etc etc etc, isn't a bit rich to start laying it on a bit heavy about people should and shouldn't post???

Maybe you've out there too long and are going native???

With the exception of one poster on this thread, I think you'll find everyone had a good word for the idea (and going to London Saints on Saturday just emphasises the point).

A few were intimating how this shows Jan is the right man, or that performances were also better, or that he is delivering on the pitch and some, (including myself) just pointed out that whilst it was an act that should obviously be applauded and extended, it has to be viewed in a wider context.

Additionally, when people start to make such claims, it is common that those with a different viewpoint should come on here and give their own opinion.

Maybe you should go back and chastise those who moved off the topic and who started to praise the football played, stated that they thought he was doing a good job etc etc etc. However, that of course would fundamentally miss the point of football forums where the topic can easily move as different views are posted.

I bumped into Adam Lallana's father at a function on Friday.

Adam wants to remain at Saints and his father wants and fully expects him to, despite the January transfer window. He also confirmed Adam is unaware of any attempt to sell him or gain a pre transfer window contract agreement with any other team.

So this fits in with what JP has said.

Thanks for the original post and the other updates from people who were there. Any word from the mentioned London Saints gig?

It's a pity the thread degenerated into the usual mudslinging as there are plenty of other threads to do that if that's what you want. It meant I have to wade through three pages of cr*p to pick out the useful reports of what actually happened.

And maybe the windfall that is the United game might go some way to prevent the Club from having to cash in on him and others, which can only be good for both sides.

I'd presume that all efforts will still be focussed on getting some money for those players on loan, but with contracts running down this might be difficult for some. And hopefully, the FA Cup money may replace this in their cashflow assumptions.

Its already happened. They usually do one a year after a London game - usually a very good turnout of players. Good night out if you can make it to one.
