whelk Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 (edited) When does this **** ever learn? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21618258 QPR 6th in PL table based on his predictions on 47pts above Spurs. Top pundit and as for the obnoxious Morgan Edited 28 February, 2013 by whelk
Judge_B Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 He hasn't gone and predicted the result in a game of football again, has he? The bastard
Turkish Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 (edited) When does this **** ever learn http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21618258 QPR 7th in table based on his predictions and him and teh obnoxious Morgan going for it again He got 9 out 10 last week and only a last minute worldie from Bale stopped him getting all 10 results right. So learn what? Edited 28 February, 2013 by Turkish
Saint_lambden Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Are we to have a thread on his prediction every week?
Dr Who? Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Wow, this is my fear! We should batter them, says my head and heart, so why do I think we will lose, to the saggy face outfit!
simo Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Best get our money on a Qpr win then ! (Que Turkish)
Turkish Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Are we to have a thread on his prediction every week? The only way to stop them is for him to predict us to win. That is what people want, not him to be right, just to predict we win. Please, please Lawro, please predit a win for us.
Berkshire Saint Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 We're 16th on his table as well as the real one to be fair. Does amuse me that he's predicted us to draw once all season though.
whelk Posted 28 February, 2013 Author Posted 28 February, 2013 Are we to have a thread on his prediction every week? fck knows what do you think?
Dr Who? Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 I predict the skates will not win. I have done this for a few months now! When did they win last?

Sorry too off message and on the wrong forum? so many sad cnts on this place it is laughable
Turkish Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 He actually has us in correct position. His assessment of QPR is woeful. Sorry too off message and on the wrong forum? so many sad cnts on this place it is laughable This.
Dr Who? Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 It alright everyone, he had us down to lose at their place 2-1 and we battered them.
pingwing Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 "I keep waiting for QPR to win, and they will do one of these days! They are definitely due a victory" Sometimes he just wants to be called a cûnt in public, probably his worst prediction of the season as it is based on exactly nothing other than liking 'Arry and not really being interested in us. Can't wait to see Lawro go into melt down when they are relegated instead of his 6th position prediction.
Saint Stimp Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Why the feck anyone allows this kind of thing to wind them up is beyond me. There was a similar thread last week where someone was up in arms about him predicting our loss and look what happened... we went and lost.
Dr Who? Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 He has only got 10 out of 27 outcomes of our games correct over the season so far.
Graffito Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 I don't read his predictions much because trying to predict the results of football matches is a mug's game but what strikes me when I do read them, like his prediction of Saints v QPR this week, is that the predicted score is generally the opposite of his comments.
CB Fry Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 The good news is he's predicted West Ham to lose this week, and West Ham seems to be the only thing the spanners on this forum are obsessed about more than Mark Lawrenson.
Bearsy Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 keeps up his record of predicting a saints defeat every game since ponch took over. Think he's called this game wrong tho. Ponch is unbeaten at home!
JRM Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 I can see us losing as well to be honest , would be typical of Redknapp and saints to slip up.

There was a similar thread last week where someone was up in arms about him predicting our loss and look what happened... we went and lost. Most don't I imagine and seems more get wound up by any post. Seems pretty much any post started with a few minutes someone/many have had a swipe at OP being pointless, repetitive etc. WTF do think there is to talk about that hasnt been said before? Newspaper BS, someone discusing tactics. player form, transfers, reminiscing and of course the actual game. Just seems a *****fest for the lonely to me
eelpie Posted 1 March, 2013 Posted 1 March, 2013 Under MP we have only won one match and results have not matched our performances. Who can deny that this is true?
The Godfather Posted 1 March, 2013 Posted 1 March, 2013 I'm quite happy with the '****' predicting us to lose to QPR but its a dangerous game, they have nothing to lose is the thing that worries me! If we play well I think we'll win but it will be tight!
sandwichsaint Posted 1 March, 2013 Posted 1 March, 2013 He has only got 10 out of 27 outcomes of our games correct over the season so far. Much better than me, I've had us down for 27 wins and we certainly haven't won 10 yet .
Super_Saint Posted 1 March, 2013 Posted 1 March, 2013 All of his previous QPR predictions would have them of 44 points in total, whilst they only have 17. I think that pretty much sums it up really. Also, being due a win doesn't change anything, that's gambler's fallacy.
Appy Posted 1 March, 2013 Posted 1 March, 2013 I like his logic, keep predicting them to win, until they actually win.
CB Fry Posted 1 March, 2013 Posted 1 March, 2013 "I keep waiting for QPR to win, and they will do one of these days! Can't wait to see Lawro go into melt down when they are relegated instead of his 6th position prediction. QPR to win clearly not the "worst prediction"of the season. Perfectly plausible when you consider our woeful form and slide down the table. Saints can beat Man City in a one off game but cannot possibly lose to QPR? Riiiight. Secondly, why would Lawrenson go into "meltdown" if QPR get relegated? Lawrenson cares about them as much as he cares about us. Not at all. Not in the slightest. There will be no "meltdown". This forum: home of paranoid schizo nutcases since 2007.
110_Persaint Posted 1 March, 2013 Posted 1 March, 2013 We will lose, the feeling is growing stronger and stronger in me every day. My only hope is that we recover quickly and somehow manage to pick enough points up for safety (which I know we can do).

My only hope is that we recover quickly and somehow manage to pick enough points up for safety (which I know we can do). I fear you're right. I love Potechino's style of play, but just don't think we have the players to pull it off. It's going to be a tough run in.

But but but he clearly hates us and rims 'Arry for breakfast by getting all the predictions wrong, fact!... This prediction proves what we all know.... The serious point is that QPR struggle with the basics of football when we ultimately don't and lawro just seems a bit blind to that as QPR haven't scored 2 league goals in one game since December. If it was a cheap 1-0 loss he would have a little credibility but a proper 2-1 win for them is just far fetched. Back to my tinfoil hat
Doctoroncall Posted 1 March, 2013 Posted 1 March, 2013 He has only got 10 out of 27 outcomes of our games correct over the season so far. Some sides are easier to predict, like Man Utd, Reading and Stoke, it would be interesting to see a table with how many he has got right for each team. His love for putting down QPR for wins is a bit strange though as they have been consistently poor, mainly from the lack of goal threat so far (you watch Remy get a hat-trick against us now) .

Back to my tinfoil hat As far fetched as us losing to Newcastle or beating Man City 3-1? Seriously, how is a 1-2 win for QPR farfetched with a defence like ours which rarely keeps a clean sheet and is prone to individual errors? It really isn't far fetched at all.

Seriously, how is a 1-2 win for QPR farfetched with a defence like ours which rarely keeps a clean sheet and is prone to individual errors? It really isn't far fetched at all. But the problem for this prediction is nothing to do with our defence (especially considering the freakish nature of Newcastle's goals and our defence generally looking competent) but QPR's criminal inability to attack at all, they have no fit strikers and if they were fit they still aren't that much of a threat. Therefore rabble rabble rabble!

Therefore rabble rabble rabble! Freakish nature of Newcastles goals? By freakish do you mean crap defending? How far fetched is it for a premier league team to score two goals against our defence? Considering we've conceded at least two 13 times in the league this season. Is it far fetched to suggest it might happen again?
saints-cris Posted 1 March, 2013 Posted 1 March, 2013 It is a bit silly how often he has us to lose. His 'expert' opinion is to come to the conclusion that 'theyre due a win'. Hes a complete dinosaur. But its all his opinion so cant say it bothers me too much.
St Marco Posted 1 March, 2013 Posted 1 March, 2013 I saw Hulk Hogan got more scores right then him. Say's it all. Also in his table he has QPR with the best goal difference ratio of any teams. In fact they have the best goal difference by 11 goals! Where as in reality they are 57 goals away from the best GD team. That is a pretty huge mess up.

Yeah we've conceded two in quite a few games this year but QPR have only scored 2 goals in 4 games out of the 27 so far, no cause to suddenly start to think they will put two past us...
hasper57saint Posted 1 March, 2013 Posted 1 March, 2013 What are you worried about? We're going to win!
whelk Posted 1 March, 2013 Author Posted 1 March, 2013 Gareth Bales sell on clause? Do we have one? Good news as rumour he getting a move http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1221871/Spurs-flop-Gareth-Bale-January-Birmingham-boss-Alex-McLeish-eyes-3m-defender.html

It wasn't a debatable pen it was nailed on and the fourth goal was joke, when was the last time a top club condeded a goal like that? 3 goals from crap defending, no excuse as much as people like to make them. If QPR are going to score 2 goals in a game, we are the sort of defence they'd do it against. It's not t all far fetched to think it possible, despite what the divs on here say. Kingsbridge Saint Posted 2 March, 2013 Posted 2 March, 2013 I am going to thoroughly enjoy seeing that saggy faced twitchy bastards face tonight as we tear his team of overpaid mercenaries to shreds and pretty much send the ****er down. And I hope he gets dogs abuse for the full 90.

We've conceded two or more in just under half our games. The second goal, from the free kick that was a massive foul on Clyne? Which went against him because someone tripped over him after pushing him down? There's a whole thing about the pen being a pen or not a pen, its harsh to give because he's moving to block the ball and realistically gave it away for having limbs (where the hand ball rule makes no sense) and well the 4th was a poor couplee of moves from fox (should have cleared it 2 mins before) but its not something that brands our defence as crap going to hand goals to the worst team in the league. QPR are going to struggle to score one. They categorically aren't good enough to do it. Even with Jos "the boss" we can still keep them out, your argument is based on we will just muck it up and smash a few into our own net because QPR will be there...ish... They won't be anything like as energetic and pressing as Newcastle, they won't score 2 and win.
Saint Garrett Posted 2 March, 2013 Posted 2 March, 2013 What I worry about is then jos/fox combination. Would be interested to see the minutes per goals conceded with these 2 on the pitch.
Tamesaint Posted 2 March, 2013 Posted 2 March, 2013 If Lawro says that we are going to lose then we will. Do you know he got 9 out of 10 predictions right last week. He must be a genius because he managed to predict that fourth tier Bradford would lose to Swansea and because CB dickwad & Turkish like him.
