pangy Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 I see he has done another pre-game press interview today,it might be my imagination but he has been featured way more than any other player lately with interviews/press conferences ,is it because he has just signed a contract/is a future captain ?? Or am I looking too much into this? why does AL not do a press interview as he is the captain??
Saint Charlie Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 He just signed a new contract so normal he would do the presser. They tend to recycle the same few that are interesting without being controversial.
pangy Posted 28 February, 2013 Author Posted 28 February, 2013 He did the interview after Wigan, before Newcastle, after Newcastle (French day connection??) signing in the megastore and now the QPR press conference No other players have been interviewed that I can see on Saints player Not even a interview with Rickie after 100 goals ??
Viking Warrior Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 pangy . its a ploy by the club to put him in the transfer window, Saints are hoping arsenal offer 20 million for him
pangy Posted 28 February, 2013 Author Posted 28 February, 2013 pangy . its a ploy by the club to put him in the transfer window, Saints are hoping arsenal offer 20 million for him Wouldn't surprise me !!
Guan 2.0 Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Also because AL is a bit of a wet cabbage.
Matthew Le God Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 I see he has done another pre-game press interview today,it might be my imagination but he has been featured way more than any other player lately with interviews/press conferences ,is it because he has just signed a contract/is a future captain ?? Or am I looking too much into this? why does AL not do a press interview as he is the captain?? He signed a new contract this week, gives the national press something to talk to the player about. Most in the press don't know our players enough to have more than a couple of questions. At least it is a talking point for them.
Miltonroader07 Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Conspiracy theories on this Forum.............. surely not
This Charming Man Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Probably more to do with the fact he has been our star player this season.
shurlock Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Probably more to do with the fact he has been our star player this season. Enough said
shurlock Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Conspiracy theories on this Forum.............. surely not Did you hear the one about the skate infiltrator who's memorised every page of Fitzhugh Fella's 640 page magnum opus 'in that number', especially the chapters on the 1970s?
ART Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Maybe it is his ability of speaking and understanding his manager and language skills the reason he is being present at press conferences
110_Persaint Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Getting ready to come out of the closet, needs all the exposure he can get.
110_Persaint Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 minus 1 reputations points for you persaint homophobic ****.
Turkish Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Lets hope he can help put a stop to our slide down the table, starting on saturday.
Matthew Le God Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Is lambert injured? Why do you keep asking this? He trained today and can be seen doing so in the training gallery.
Turkish Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Is lambert injured? Yes, he's out for a month.
Crowds Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Maybe after his good performances he's asked the club for more exposure... In a hope to get some international recognition? Don't see what harm it could do! Crowds.
Charlie Wayman Posted 28 February, 2013 Posted 28 February, 2013 Because he's the only one who can string a sentence together without saying "definitely", "we did great", "awesome", "like I said" every five seconds?
david in sweden Posted 1 March, 2013 Posted 1 March, 2013 (edited) the media ignore almost all Saints 'players - unless they are playing badly, or (like Shaw) are playing so well.....that they must surely be transferred out of the club in the summer. No-one has bothered to compliment Schneiderlin (except Saints' fans) until some statistical nerd turned up the fact that.... " he had made more tackles than anyone else in Europe....". OK..I know it wasn't exactly that, but similar figs. and now they are waking up to the fact that he is a V.G. player...but the French still won't choose him for their national side - will they ? THE NEXT STEP will be ...Arsenal manager Wenger is likely to make a £5 million " swoop " for his fellow countryman, who he says ....." iz a play-eer hu I 'ave longg admirred.." Sorry. Forget it, Arsene. Down on the South Coast, we all know that you got a good deal with Theo and Alex O-C. ...and so do you. But this time around... the starting price is £20 mill....plus add-ons ... when he does get picked by the French ....and a 25% cut of the fee ...when he moves to PSG. Tom28 Posted 1 March, 2013 Posted 1 March, 2013 The guy is just class. Class footballer, speak very well, mature. Never hear stories about him out in bars late at night getting drunk. Just seems like a total pro and one of the best role models for the academy players coming through IMO. People have mentioned £20m for him; I was thinking that too. But on reflection, there is no amount of money we should accept for him. He embodies everything the club is about now and wants to be about going forwards.
