I see he has done another pre-game press interview today,it might be my imagination but he has been featured way more than any other player lately with interviews/press conferences ,is it because he has just signed a contract/is a future captain ??

Or am I looking too much into this?

why does AL not do a press interview as he is the captain??

He did the interview after Wigan, before Newcastle, after Newcastle (French day connection??) signing in the megastore and now the QPR press conference

No other players have been interviewed that I can see on Saints player

Not even a interview with Rickie after 100 goals ??

He signed a new contract this week, gives the national press something to talk to the player about. Most in the press don't know our players enough to have more than a couple of questions. At least it is a talking point for them.

the media ignore almost all Saints 'players - unless they are playing badly, or (like Shaw) are playing so well.....that they must surely be transferred out of the club in the summer.

No-one has bothered to compliment Schneiderlin (except Saints' fans) until some statistical nerd turned up the fact that.... " he had made more tackles than anyone else in Europe....".

OK..I know it wasn't exactly that, but similar figs. and now they are waking up to the fact that he is a V.G. player...but the French still won't choose him for their national side - will they ?

THE NEXT STEP will be ...Arsenal manager Wenger is likely to make a £5 million " swoop " for his fellow countryman, who he says ....." iz a play-eer hu I 'ave longg admirred.."

Sorry. Forget it, Arsene. Down on the South Coast, we all know that you got a good deal with Theo and Alex O-C. ...and so do you.

But this time around... the starting price is £20 mill....plus add-ons ... when he does get picked by the French ....and a 25% cut of the fee ...when he moves to PSG.

The guy is just class. Class footballer, speak very well, mature. Never hear stories about him out in bars late at night getting drunk. Just seems like a total pro and one of the best role models for the academy players coming through IMO. People have mentioned £20m for him; I was thinking that too. But on reflection, there is no amount of money we should accept for him. He embodies everything the club is about now and wants to be about going forwards.
