Not sure we'll ever know will we?

Went into the game on the back of a 'foot injury' and hadn't played for 3 weeks.

Apparently he had a temperature/virus/sore throat in the lead up.

Maybe he took a knock, no sign of that but he was involved in several bruising encounters in the first half.

On a yellow and finding Debuchy and Guittierez a real handful, risk of a red?

I'd go for the red-card option personally.

I'd go for the red card option, especially seeing the alternative and definitely with hindsight. I like hindsight. Mr 100%

He (MP) has been trying to get into British humour recently, watching a lot of Mr Bean, the chuckle bros etc. He thought it might be funny to have Jos and Fox on the same pitch for a bit. He wanted to bring back Benali for a one off show but NC wouldn't have it. Not until he returned his spoon to the sex dungeon anyway.

Left back is becoming our Achilles heel. Don't get me wrong, Shaw is an excellent player and will continue to get better and better, but think back to the Wigan game, his inexperience led to him playing Maloney onside for their equaliser. Man City's break away goal was came down our left. Shaw did really well with Debuchy on Sunday, but was getting little support from Rodriguez, and the experienced Guiterrez was tricking him into little fouls all afternoon, a red card was imminent. Would love to see a decent experienced left back bought in to act as back up and mentor to Shaw.

Shaw is outstanding, but he was playing poorly on Sunday and looked in danger of being sent off. It made sense to take him off, injury or not.

Debuchy is a good player marauding forward, probably too good for the inexperience of Shaw and Fox..well forget it.. Lallana just doesn't provide enough cover to his FB and that's not going to change anytime soon. We're probably better off without him to be honest..

I've changed my mind with Lallana a few times this season. At the very start I thought he was poor. Then he improved and covered Shaw a lot more than he did with Fox. He was poor on Saturday until he went more centrally. Fine when we're attacking a lot of the time. but struggles against physical sides and his decision making is poor.

Lallana is an excellent player but can be a little inconsistent. Not sure if we've got quite the right mix of road-sweepers and violinists at the moment, particularly away from home.
