The ref was wrong for their first goal. Every manager in the PL would point that out. Saying it was a mistake bringing Fox on would be equal to saying it was Fox who ruined our game. Do you realistically expect him to do that? Would the manager of your dreams do that? And why on earth should he point out that the better team won?

To be fair, you could be quoting Pardew, who said the same (about us). He also said we were as good as or better than Chelsea and Metal Lurgies and that we were outplaying them. He also said they (Nouveau Chateau) would not have beaten us 6 weeks ago. Pards is a decent bloke.

Well he was right about the ref

2nd goal should not have been + other little decisions went against us that shouldn't have

Shaw had been booked and picked up a knock, Fox was our LB sub so of course he was going to bring him on

The penalty was unfortunate and so was the o.g

The better team winning is a little debatable too

Frankly they deserved the win, in spite of our poor luck, just not our day. Interestingly enough for people who thought AP was a tactical mug, I think he got it spot on today, and picked the best tactic to counter our system perfectly - as shown on MOTD2. Exciting as our new system is, there is a way to counter it, and Newcastle did it perfectly. Hopefully not too many other teams will do likewise for the rest of the games??
