Imo I think barring an exceptional run tenth is probably the highest we can expect to finish this season which with the start we had is quite good ! Anyone else think we could push a little higher ?

Whys that ? I never said that we will finish tenth just that I think its the highest we can expect to finish !

It's not unfeasible to finish that high up, but I think we'll more likely finish 14th-16th. Teams like West Ham and Norwich are dropping down the table pretty quickly so if we carry on picking up points we could be a few places higher up by the end of March.

You do realise you are talking bo llocks and West Ham and Norwich aren't dropping down the table quickly. West Ham are 11th, Excactly where they were on New Year's Day and Norwich have slid a massive 2 places since then and have been between 12th and 16th for most of the season, so neither dropping down the table pretty quickly at all.

Let's just concentrate on the relegation issue, the sooner we get to around the 40 point mark, or start increasing the gap from the teams below us at least, the better. 3 points at Newcastle would be massive, especially considering the winnable games against QPR and Norwich are to come. A few doable wins and then we can start looking up the table. For what it's worth, I'd still take 17th if offered.

I think you will find that on points picked up since the first 10 games we are well ahead of Norwich and Westham it is therefore far from unlikely that we may overtake them should that form continue till the end of the season not saying it will happen but it is certainly possible!

Games we should win (playing as we are and pending no injuries): QPR, West Ham, Norwich, West Brom, Stoke

Games we could win: Newcastle, Swansea, Sunderland

Games where points would be a bonus: Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham.

All IMO of course -

Possibly 18 points from that lot if we continue to play teams off the park a la both Manchester games.

West ham were 11th on New Year's Day, on the 22nd of February they are also 11th. How are they dropping down the table pretty quickly? Please explain.

Ok, perhaps I expressed that wrong. It's no lie that their form recently has been bad and they're in danger of slipping closer to the relegation battle. We can take advantage of that.

How so? They are in the same position today as they were almost 2 months ago.

No I didn't, you're cleary too thick to understand what I said.

You said, and I quote, "Swansea have £60mill of Premier League cash sat in the bank and us being owned by a billionaire means nothing".

And which part of that statement is incorrect?

lets see if we can win sunday first...this is the highest we have been all season and we are suddenly going to jump 5 places and over take teams better than villa and reading.?

The thing a lot of the dins on here are missing is that for as brilliant as we are meant to be and terrible everyone else is meant to be we are as close to 19th as we are 10th. Lets secure our place in premier league before worrying about finishing 10th.

we have struggled to stay ahead of villa and reading all season...

now we are going to rocket up the table against teams that will win a few themselves and pick up the odd draw too..

cant see it at all

14th would be a very very good finish....16th would be about right

All of it.

Swansea don't have £60mill in the bank and us being owned by billionaire means alot.

You're actually talking bo llocks as usual as I never put a figure on it, i said they have a years TV money in the bank. FACT. Us being owned by billionaires only means anything if they are prepared to back us and spend their wealth. Another FACT. And I actually didn't say we couldn't compete with them, I said we shouldn't assume we could outbid established premier league clubs in the transfer market just because the family that owns us are loaded, like I said, too thick to understand this.

LOL, you just can't admit you were wrong. You also said there is no way we would spend more than £20mill.

How much did we spend again? How many established Prem clubs did we spend more than?

And it was only two weeks ago that we hadn't beaten a team above us in the league, now we are going to start destroying teams every week whilst everyone else drops like a stone.

I admit I didn't think we'd spend as much as we did and I did say that, nothing wrong with that, did anyone else think we'd spend that much? It's you that's wrong and making up quotes from 7 months ago to try to prove you're not as thick as you are.

I said i think we might do and you went on one of your pathetic playground bullying routines.

LOL, when we signed Ramirez you're little Dell brain must have got all confused.

Why? How confusing is it for a club to sign a player for £12m? Answer; not confusing at all. I know you might struggle with figures greater than those on your fingers dumbass but that doesn't mean we all do.

You clearly do if you thought Swansea had £60mill sat in the bank and us being owned by billionaires didn't mean we could spend big money.

Hey Turkey, now we are best friends, I thought that I should let you know that you are behaving like a bit of a ****, no offence, just friend to friend.

Except you're making quotes up from 7 months ago and not understanding my point. carry on if it makes you feel a little brighter.

Liverpool at home will be the easiest three points we get all season. Mark my words.

I agree. I mean, they're a poor team aren't they. In decline, full of crap players like Downing, Henderson and Allen. The ate destined to be average for a longtime yet. Meanwhile we are in the up, heading for Europe and signing all the players they want to buy. It's going to be easy.

Cool. I thought you'd like it, you always laugh when people get your name wrong!

where did I say they were? however earlier on in the season they were much higher I recollect!

I believe the highest they were was 7th, so they've dropped a massive 4 places since September and not dropped any place at all for 2 months. Hardly sliding down the table. Sunderland were 18th after 15 games, they are now 13th and should be aiming for 5th by some of you lots reakoning what with their rocket up the table of 5 whole places in 3 months.
