He often predicted us to win up until Christmas, but his prediction was wrong more often than not. If his predictions had been correct we would have been much higher up the table. But since Christmas he has changed his tactic and now predicts us to lose every game. All this proves is that he is absolutely useless at predicting, but not that he never predicts us to win. His comments and his predictions also do not correlate, he writes something and then his prediction completely contradicts his analysis. Just goes to prove he is a knob. hasper57saint Posted 22 February, 2013 Share Posted 22 February, 2013 Not for one moment will I empathise with Lawro, but look back at some of the 'predictions' we've made on here.In reality it's very difficult to predict a football score.Win,lose or Draw are easier but even then we still get it wrong. PS. I still don't like him because he always has a downer on Saints. PPS. We will beat the Magpies on Sunday. There! I've just made a prediction I just hope I'm right!!!! Professor Posted 23 February, 2013 Share Posted 23 February, 2013 The only admiration I have for Lawrenson is that for someone with no personality, whose own football career was so long ago that most fans have forgotten he ever played the game, is that he somehow persuades the BBC to pay him to do a very poor job. His predictions are no better than if you were to ask a little old lady in the street. They equate to the same outcome you would get from guesswork. Olallana Posted 23 February, 2013 Share Posted 23 February, 2013 for someone so out of touch and wrong...how come we are only 3 points away from his prediction table..? Well the truth behind that is at the beginning he was predicting us to win matches when we were losing a lot... Lately he has us losing a lot when we have win or draws.... So, he is really wrong in his predictions but as we all now, two negatives equal one positive.....and that´s why his total sum of predictions are close.... Wow. You don't say. There were really some easy games to predict today. Top playing bottom and guess what - top won!! Arsenal at home to Villa - Guess what . Arsenal won. The guy must be a genius for predicting that one. West Brom (8th in the league) at home to Sunderland. (13 th) Who could have guessed that West Brom who have just won at Anfield would have won that!! I suppose it takes a real expert to predict that one. Fulham v Stoke - Stoke have only won 1 away game all season. They have one of the worst away records in the league. Fancy. They lost at Fulham. He may have got the scores correct but it was one of the easiest weekends of the season to predict - and it is pretty amazing that a so called "expert" didn't even get one correct score. So when you call him a clueless, out of touch tosser (your words not mine) I think you are correct.
