Much better:)

Agree that there's a lot of value in places like Japan - a player like Nagatom could have been picked up for peanuts before he went to Inter. As much as Lee has failed to impress, it's worth pointing that he has not a regulat starter at international level.

This pleases me greatly.

Not great as a left back but as a CB he has come on leaps and bounds, the Norwich game and the Newcastle game are especially good examples of him playing as an intelligent footballer (though both had all 4 of our first choice back 4 playing very well too).

It's good this sort of stuff is picked up upon eventually.

His performances have become more consistent after a very shaky start to his Saints career. He cost us two points against Wigan by completely missing the ball, unchallenged, defending a corner.

He was good again though against Man City. I hope we see more of the City performances and less of the Wigan's!

Of course he isnt perfect. The way he was thrust into the side was not ideal for him either. I am sure we will see the bendfit of Forren's 'integration period' when he plays, we didnt have much choice with Maya but ordinarily you wouldnt choose the path he had.

A good read.

Probably a case of 'who' for many fans when he signed but the 'committee' obviously did their homwork on him. He's been improving all season, for me he's got a whiff of Cannavaro about him, not particulary dominant in the air or physically, nor with great pace but he reads the game well, add that to good positional sense and marking, and you have the makings of a decent defender. At 24 hopefully he can keep improving.

He is a brilliant reader of the game and a very fierce competitor. Prone to the occasional lapses in concentration but I think that is something that he will eliminate from his game rather than being just who he is as a player.

Competes well in the air and is quick enough (though not massively quick). Would like to see him emerge as more of a leader but he is young and time is on his side.

At £2m he has been great and adapted very quickly.
