Tom8558 Posted 19 February, 2013 Share Posted 19 February, 2013 Does anyone know what this guy is like? I haven't had the chance to go to any youth games. If he's chosen for his country then he can't be too bad (even if it is the U.S.A)
david in sweden Posted 19 February, 2013 Share Posted 19 February, 2013 Saw him on a streamed U21 game a few weeks back. Looked fairly competent.....won't compare him to Gazzaniga - who I don't rate as Prem. quality yet - but .let's face it Cropper is 20?... .or almost 21 I think, it certainly is good for him and perhaps in a few years?...(who knows)...there are a few good US goalies around at the top level ....so why not ? Bearsy Posted 19 February, 2013 Share Posted 19 February, 2013 probably our best alliteration player since Fabrice Fernandes. Actually i can't really think of any others.
Andre Posted 19 February, 2013 Share Posted 19 February, 2013 I've always thought it's much more difficult to predict how good goalies are going to be ultimately, as they peak at weird times and usually more than once. Plenty of Premier League examples from the years to look at. Cropper looks decent, at the moment probably more Championship quality, but no reason why he can't make the step up if he gets a chance here and there. Can't think of any others since Fabrice Fernandes, although probably the best before that was ol' Tommy Traynor, what a name! Lot of assonance in Adam Lallana, too

Badger Posted 19 February, 2013 Share Posted 19 February, 2013 probably our best alliteration player since Fabrice Fernandes. Actually i can't really think of any others. More importantly, best alliteration as a GK since Kasey Keller. Who by coincidence was also a Yank. Small world.
Saint Garrett Posted 19 February, 2013 Share Posted 19 February, 2013 Almost think it would be good for Cody to go out on loan somewhere in the NPC or L1. Him or Gazza anyway...

DanW Posted 5 March, 2013 Share Posted 5 March, 2013 Is anyone an ESPN Insider? Where does Cody Cropper fall on this list? http://insider.espn.go.com/sports/soccer/blog/_/name/us_national_soccer/id/9018045/us-national-team-top-25-21-prospects He was ranked 12th previously, but after his great showing in Mexico last week I am wondering if he has moved up at all.
