Olallana Posted 19 February, 2013 Share Posted 19 February, 2013 Just seen an interview with him on Football Today and apparently after every game, home or away, he goes to the fans and gives his shirt to a kid every time. Credit due where credit is deserve I think.

SNSUN Posted 19 February, 2013 Share Posted 19 February, 2013 Pompey players want to do it, they just can't afford to give the shirts away.
pingwing Posted 19 February, 2013 Share Posted 19 February, 2013 Ours go to the saints foundation auction. Credit some players of other teams give them to kids though much better than the Spurs players chucking it at spurs fans (there's a video of 2 doing nothing but promoting the jewish spurs fan stereotype)

Andre Posted 19 February, 2013 Share Posted 19 February, 2013 Giving the clap to the fans? Sounds like more of a Liverpool thing.
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 19 February, 2013 Share Posted 19 February, 2013 A nice gesture from him but might mean more if he wasn't monumentally ****, a walking yellow card, and a headless chicken.

Shows just how basic the level is in League 1.
The9 Posted 19 February, 2013 Share Posted 19 February, 2013 Beat me to it re: Oldham. I think that's more to do with the uselessness of Fila/Carbrini as shirt suppliers than their finances though. Worth remembering that Saints inexplicably wore plain red socks with a white hoop as part of their supposedly "all charcoal grey" away kit from Christmas 2008 through administration - probably a combination of running out of cash and Umbro running out of stock too... 110_Persaint Posted 19 February, 2013 Share Posted 19 February, 2013 Would like to see more Saints players doing such things. I can recall Puncheon doing it a few years back but hardly anyone else before or since.

Dig Dig Posted 20 February, 2013 Share Posted 20 February, 2013 If I were a footballer I would walk up to the fans after every game and launch a handful of my own **** into the face of the most gormless looking one I could see
Appy Posted 20 February, 2013 Share Posted 20 February, 2013 I think it was Preston away in 08/09 our players threw their shirts in the crowd. All had to buy new ones.

They'd be a bit screwed if they did that with this seasons away kit (the supposedly 3rd choice Yellow shirt, but only realistic alternative option to our Red kit!!)LOL. Not available all season WTF?
