VectisSaint Posted 16 February, 2013 Share Posted 16 February, 2013 Snodin. Anyone who can make Whisky George seem good, must be a genius.
Kingsland Red Posted 16 February, 2013 Share Posted 16 February, 2013 Best assistant managers or Saints assistant managers? Best assistants - Brian Kidd and Peter Taylor.
Badger Posted 16 February, 2013 Share Posted 16 February, 2013 John Mortimore. Assistant to both Ted & Lawrie during their best seasons. Unlucky not to be manager of Saints in his own right. Had Lawrie declared his intentions to leave before he did after 1985, the I suspect Mortimore might have got the nod.

Good egg John Mortimore, used to always bump into him at motorway petrol stations on the way back from away games, and happy to chat. Hampshire lad, 250 games for Chelsea, and managed Benfica and Real Betis. Great for Saints...
