Steeleye Saint Posted 16 February, 2013 Share Posted 16 February, 2013 Be interesting to see how he fares against a Prem side. Don't think anyone on here, me included, thinks he's good enough to play for us now but he was always quick, a constant pain in defences' sides and his scoring record for us and Southend is above average, verging on pretty good according to this...http://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=33759
Saint-Armstrong Posted 16 February, 2013 Share Posted 16 February, 2013 Has he been given permission to play then? I don't see why he shouldn't but some clubs just don't allow it as a general rule.

captainchris Posted 16 February, 2013 Share Posted 16 February, 2013 Poor LB - a bit lightweight and lacking control and quality so far 35mins. A long way short of our first team requirements.
Sour Mash Posted 16 February, 2013 Share Posted 16 February, 2013 Poor LB - a bit lightweight and lacking control and quality so far 35mins. A long way short of our first team requirements. He's never going to play for us again, regardless of how he does in today's game or any other for Oldham.

St.Jeweller Posted 16 February, 2013 Share Posted 16 February, 2013 scored the 6th in our league 1 drubbing of them back in 2011,could he get a 2nd half winner tonight.

Katalinic Posted 16 February, 2013 Share Posted 16 February, 2013 Was compared to Craig Bellamy on radio 5. They both have two arms and two legs - thats about as similar as it gets.

lloydie Posted 16 February, 2013 Share Posted 16 February, 2013 Was compared to Craig Bellamy on radio 5. I suppose they are very similar on paper. If those pieces of paper are their court summons letters that is.

Horton Heath Saint Posted 16 February, 2013 Share Posted 16 February, 2013 Barnard and Seaborne will never appear in a Saints shirt ever again. FACT. Cortese will make sure of that after both being made public after their incidents. He who crosses the line..

St Lej Posted 17 February, 2013 Share Posted 17 February, 2013 Barnard and Seaborne will never appear in a Saints shirt ever again. FACT. Cortese will make sure of that after both being made public after their incidents. He who crosses the line.. Yes, that's the main reason, must be solely because of that. Nothing to do with the fact they're both way short of premier league quality. This is also ignoring the fact that Barnard was heavily involved in our league 1 promotion campaign months after his nightclub incident. But yep I think you're spot on with this. david in sweden Posted 17 February, 2013 Share Posted 17 February, 2013 .......if Barnard scores in the reply (regardless of the final score) .......he will become an instant Oldham legend, and will sign for Latics in the summer -----in exchange for their striker Matt Smith ..who at 6'6" looks like the new Peter Crouch, and might turn into the next Rickie Lambert. !.. OK ....joke over ....that's my fantasy prediction for this season.
beatlesaint Posted 17 February, 2013 Share Posted 17 February, 2013 Barnard and Seaborne will never appear in a Saints shirt ever again. FACT. Cortese will make sure of that after both being made public after their incidents. He who crosses the line.. I assume you made that statement either through a haze of drink or with tongue firmly in cheek considering both players have appeared in a Saints shirt AFTER their respective "incidents" ? After watching Barnard last night you can clearly see why he is surplus to reqirements. Even if the worst happened and we get relegated he would still not be a top half Championship striker IMHO. When will he learn that you cannot bundle into a defender and not conceed a free kick ffs ?
Appy Posted 17 February, 2013 Share Posted 17 February, 2013 Barnard had his best form in a Saints shirt after the incident that happened. Will always get a good reception if he ever plays at St Marys for us or anyone else again I think.
