Webby Posted 15 February, 2013 Share Posted 15 February, 2013 This trend has continued against Man Utd, Wigan and Manchester City, with Puncheon, Ramirez and Rodriguez making more interceptions and tackles (78 ) in the four games under Pochettino than they have all season before that (71). Wow.

Even in Southampton’s first game, played after Pochettino had only been afforded just two days with his new team, Everton could only record a pass completion rate of 69%—their worst of the season. Tellingly David Moyes’ side only completed 77% of their passes in their own half, also the lowest they’ve recorded in a Premier League game this season. Such was the success of Pochettino’s new high-pressing approach in his Southampton debut Everton’s pass completion rate was the 12th lowest recorded by any Premier League team this season. The Cat Posted 15 February, 2013 Share Posted 15 February, 2013 Fairly similar to the Guardian article last weekend. Again Ramirez gets the credit for setting up Morgan at Wigan despite not being on the pitch at the time.
CanadaSaint Posted 15 February, 2013 Author Share Posted 15 February, 2013 And another: http://goal.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/02/15/pochettino-shows-promise-on-the-englands-south-coast/? Many of the same themes but with a few new (to me, anyway) little nuggets.
CityRanger Posted 15 February, 2013 Share Posted 15 February, 2013 Question for the Mods? We get so much media coverage these days (such as this). Is there any chance we could have a sticky with links to Saints related articles? Would be good for traffic, and would save us fans from trawling for articles through numerous threads here and other media outlets. Maybe 'members only' could submit them for a quick check before you post up the link? Lazy I know, but surely a good idea!
CityRanger Posted 15 February, 2013 Share Posted 15 February, 2013 “At times you want to kill him because he makes you suffer like a dog, but you get the results,” striker Pablo Osvaldo said. From Twitter: "Luke Shaw @Luke_shaw3 Hardest week this week, but worth it cause of this weekend of#London #buzzing" Working our lads like dogs too by the sound of it.
