Seidi seems to have been with us a long time but as yet hasn't made the first team IIRC. has anyone seen him much in the flesh to know if he's good enough?

NOT in the flesh,(so to speak) but I did watch a streamed U21 game v. Liverpool a while ago. We were unlucky to lose 0-1 through an unfortunate deflected own gaol (not nearly as good as Gareth Barry's)

Seidi came on as a sub near the end. He is quite tall and put himself about a bit. He had the best shot of the game when he hit a shot from near the halfway line with such furosity ..it just went past the far post ...and their goalie wasn't anywhere near it. Now that we have less "dead wood " around, I guess, Seidi likely to get a bit more game time, but the U21 side has quite a regular line-up at present.

I'm surprised that more fans don't follow and comment on U21 games. After all we have been playing teenagers in our first team side for quite a few years back.....and sooner or later we'll be seeing more.

I've been lucky enough to have watched several U21 games " streamed " this season and it 's good to be able to watch players who had only been a name on the team sheet.

.....and by all reports there are some good prospects here ..and in Doddsy's U18 crew, too.

This win takes us into 3rd place but now relying on Liverpool losing their remaining two games (away against Arsenal and Man United) for us to qualify for the final stage.

If we do qualify, we'll play Man United in the semi-final. Spurs, having won the elite group, get to play the winners of the playoff between the winners of the two other groups (Everton and almost certainly Newcastle) in the other semi-final.
