Secret Site Agent Posted 19 February, 2013 Posted 19 February, 2013 If we had Christiano Ronaldo in our team instead of Jason Puncheon we would be a better team. FACT. Now stop being a helmet, if its possible. No, I think you're find what he is saying, and I am taking a BIT chunk of poetic licence here is: If we had Christiano Ronaldo in our team instead of Jason Puncheon, yes we would be a better team. If we had 11 Christiano Ronaldo's we wouldn't be a better team, (he's no defender, probably not a good goalie, is so far up his own arse he wouldn't pass to himself) etc.

The9 Posted 19 February, 2013 Posted 19 February, 2013 Super useful insights that I for one would never have managed to figure out, for example: If we replace our players with better players, we will be a better team. The point being we can't (or probably shouldn't) replace them all at the same time, so we need to identify which ones it is most prudent to replace sooner rather than later.

Aren't they then?

Such is the nature of football that freak results occur. It's why we love it and at times hate it in equal measure.
dubai_phil Posted 19 February, 2013 Posted 19 February, 2013 Aren't they then? Another fact learnt from this forum is that time is irrelevant to an argument. What may occur next week, or (on a match day thread) in th remanining 85 minutes of a game are irrelevant to opinion.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 19 February, 2013 Posted 19 February, 2013 Some people will never, ever be happy.
St Lej Posted 20 February, 2013 Author Posted 20 February, 2013 Regardless of the level we are playing at, Chaplow will always provide the necessary bite in midfield.
The9 Posted 20 February, 2013 Posted 20 February, 2013 We're all experts in rental litigation. And every other type of court case Cortese gets involved in, for that matter.
The9 Posted 20 February, 2013 Posted 20 February, 2013 People can completely make up "facts" to support their prejudices and never, ever post on the thread again after they're exposed as complete nonsense. (viz : Plymouth beat us in the cup and that's why Lowe appointed Sturrock. Fact : Saints have only played one cup game in their history against Plymouth, in 1967, which Saints won.)
The9 Posted 20 February, 2013 Posted 20 February, 2013 There are a million and one different ways to start an argument about stadium expansion.

RonManager Posted 20 February, 2013 Posted 20 February, 2013 If TDD is representative of all armed forces personnel re the time spent on forums (fora?) when at work protecting our sovereign isle from invading hordes, then who is actually up on the battlements with a telescope?

Isn't that what Prince Harry is for?
Bobbyboy Posted 20 February, 2013 Posted 20 February, 2013 Fact : Saints have only played one cup game in their history against Plymouth, in 1967, which Saints won.) Didn't we beat them in the Zenith Data Systems Cup in the early 90s also? Oh... hang on I think I've been whooooshed...
dubai_phil Posted 20 February, 2013 Posted 20 February, 2013 Fact. TSW has presided over the growth and development of one of the great literary minds of this Century. A poster who's words paint canvases that linger forever in the memory. In fact, in any other medium, he would, without doubt, be very close to winning a Nobel Prize for Literature. No not me you mongs, I mean The Bard, The one and only, the man who's vision is so great he can even detect what colour tie you wear in an obscure Press Photo. I give you the legend. Rallyboy

Not quite, he cooks for those that defend our island.
Dig Dig Posted 20 February, 2013 Posted 20 February, 2013 Lots of time between breakfast, lunch and dinner service to rack up the post count

beancounter saint Posted 21 February, 2013 Posted 21 February, 2013 I learned that the Newcastle game isn't on the telly. Saved me feeling a bit of an idiot come one o'clock on Sunday!
Village Saint Posted 21 February, 2013 Posted 21 February, 2013 Regardless of the level we are playing at, Chaplow will always provide the necessary bite in midfield. I think you have missed the point of the thread. All the other posters are being ironic. This on the other hand is absolutely true.
