Saint-Armstrong Posted 13 February, 2013 Posted 13 February, 2013 Suggests Saints are doing pretty well on this front.... http://www.financialfairplay.co.uk/latest-news/wage-and-the-premier-league-scaled-table
tajjuk Posted 14 February, 2013 Posted 14 February, 2013 They are last year wages though, so you have to add all our signings including Gaston who increases that figure by about £3 million alone. Would estimate that we need to add about £8 - 10 million to our figure this year (based on the likes of Jay Rod, Boruc, Yoshida, Mayuka, Clyne Davis etc earning about £20 - 30k a week), putting us around West Broms wage bill I reckon. But then look at QPR. £69 million last year and have added Green, Cesar, Granero, Johnson, Park, Hoillett, Bosingwa, M'Bia, Remy and Samba to that. average out that £50k a week being generous adds £26 million a year to their wage bill, takes them up £95 million, more than Spurs.
Andre Posted 14 February, 2013 Posted 14 February, 2013 Fair play to United, they've always got it right. Spurs, Everton and Swansea, too, nice one. Our wage expenditure will undoubtedly be much higher next year, but still we'll do well without a doubt.
stevegrant Posted 14 February, 2013 Posted 14 February, 2013 The problem with those figures is that for our one, they've simply guessed. We haven't even released figures for LAST season yet!
Window Cleaner Posted 14 February, 2013 Posted 14 February, 2013 The problem with those figures is that for our one, they've simply guessed. We haven't even released figures for LAST season yet! Indeed, I bet we don't have a football related salarial mass of 37 million.
Thedelldays Posted 14 February, 2013 Posted 14 February, 2013 Fair play to United, they've always got it right. Spurs, Everton and Swansea, too, nice one. Our wage expenditure will undoubtedly be much higher next year, but still we'll do well without a doubt. Why without a doubt? We have spent a fortune. And have been in a poor position for large parts of the season compared to the money spent
Saint Garrett Posted 14 February, 2013 Posted 14 February, 2013 I see it more of investing than spending...
eelpie Posted 14 February, 2013 Posted 14 February, 2013 Very interesting. I see that we are still 15th equal in the table.
Verbal Kint Posted 14 February, 2013 Posted 14 February, 2013 Why without a doubt? We have spent a fortune. And have been in a poor position for large parts of the season compared to the money spent United City Arsenal Liverpool Everton Spurs Chelsea Stoke West Ham Sunderland Newcastle Aston Villa QPR All of those squads cost more than ours I would think
Thedelldays Posted 14 February, 2013 Posted 14 February, 2013 United City Arsenal Liverpool Everton Spurs Chelsea Stoke West Ham Sunderland Newcastle Aston Villa QPR All of those squads cost more than ours I would think So...? I do wonder about west ham now though
Verbal Kint Posted 14 February, 2013 Posted 14 February, 2013 So...? I do wonder about west ham now though So why are you saying we have been in a poor position compared to money spent when all those clubs have spent more on their squads than us?
Thedelldays Posted 14 February, 2013 Posted 14 February, 2013 So why are you saying we have been in a poor position compared to money spent when all those clubs have spent more on their squads than us? Just an opinion. In response to the "without a doubt" About being value for money etc
The9 Posted 14 February, 2013 Posted 14 February, 2013 So why are you saying we have been in a poor position compared to money spent when all those clubs have spent more on their squads than us? I would imagine it's because we're still below 14 other teams and there are only 13 who spent more in your list ?
