Saint Charlie Posted 13 February, 2013 Share Posted 13 February, 2013 With tweets being displayed on the advertising boards during matches are we starting to see the aggressive PR philosophy preached by Julius being applied in the corridors of power at SMS? Unlikely. More the job of the commercial team.

Gemmel Posted 13 February, 2013 Share Posted 13 February, 2013 I think it has more to do with filling spaces, during matches. We don't have many pitch side sponsors. Our biggest sponsor is ourselves.

Dig Dig Posted 13 February, 2013 Share Posted 13 February, 2013 As well as the twitter feeds via the match day ad boards, the other noticible impact Duncan has had was the heavy use of social media to promote and provide a running commentary of the squads trip to Barca during the fall out of NA's departure. Focus was firmly on the players which IMO was a deliberate part of the change management process. The PA release regarding the MLT meeting cancellation may not have happened without his influence either.

Tom came up with both ideas and Jordan ok'd them. Stop making things up.

Tom is a video monkey who gets to do a bit of U21 commentary because Saints can't be arsed to pay a professional. Julius is a new superpower within the walls of St Marys. He is Cortese's Goebbels. Saint Charlie Posted 13 February, 2013 Author Share Posted 13 February, 2013 Whilst Julius will never be as good a signing as Rickie Lambert I think he could reach Dan Harding levels. IMO he is currently about to overtake Neal Trotman for impact made at the club. Decent start for the lad.

Our biggest sponsor is ourselves. If all that real estate, which is very valuable given our TV coverage, is not being fully used, it's a little surprising that the corporate face of the Liebherr family doesn't appear from time to time. Even if they aren't consumer products, it's still exposure.

I imagine it would also be a potential selling point for advertisers. Much easier to make a case that adverts will be read if supporters are already looking at the boards to see their messages.
