Then you backtracked in post 33 so what exactly is your point now ?

I didn't backtrack I reclarified my point for the more pedantic user. My point is that quite clearly American human rights abuses ae incomparable to what happens in North Korea. They routinely do things like beat six year old to death with chalk board pointers ffs.

They breed communities within death/labour camps

People live in rooms with no bed, hearing and live of bits of cork they find on the floor

Catching rats and eating them is seen and a rare treat.

You will get executed on the spot if the guards seem fit

Your crime for being born in a labour camp is that your grandad spoke out against the Kim dynasty and you need to cleanse the sins that live in your blood

Most of the population are starving

For all the evil of the USA. The North utterly depend on them for food or the country would just starve to death

Yep. Definitely just as bad as the USA

Which of course was my entire point. I've read the camp 14 book and I suggest others do too.

A stupid man would not have been able to cling to power for so long. Read the book 'under the loving care of the fatherly leader.' they are not stupid.

But you are talking of the leadership which are not stupid but your average North Korean due to lack of education and information availability is stupid.

Psh, if they really wanted to attack the South they'd have just gone and done it. DPRK weren't concerned about the non-aggression pact when they shelled Yeonpyeong Island.

Hopefully u are right. This could get ugly- very ugly - very quickly.

The US wont allow S. Korea to be attacked. If N.Korea attack this will escalate very quickly. Lets' hope the Chinese keep a cool head. My understaning is that although China is a nuclear nation, they dont have high numbers of accurate delivery systems. Large areas of China, and N.Korea could be very quickly wiped off the map

Yes I said they won't fire a nuke at the USA because they (meaning the regime) are not stupid. The average north Korean does not have their finger on the trigger and would not do anything without the permission of the regime.

China is an interesting one. What's kept the stalemate for so long is neither they nor America want to get into full-scale war, which is what further outbreak on the Korean peninsula could lead to. Up until now they'd supported DPRK to avoid having an American base with firing range of Beijing, but that they've given full cooperation with and have influenced the latest UN sanctions implies IMHO the support has reached its limit.
