RedAndWhite91 Posted 11 February, 2013 Share Posted 11 February, 2013 Tonight, in the second tier of German football, Hertha Berlin and Union Berlin drew 2-2. The attendance was 74,200. That is impressive. I know there are a lot of factors to consider, but imagine a Championship game over here having an attendance of 74,200! Some Premier League teams can't even sell out home games... I am really impressed by German football, the way the clubs are run, the cheaper ticket prices, the safe standing, the atmospheres. Very impressive indeed.
1885 Posted 12 February, 2013 Share Posted 12 February, 2013 ...but it became "chique" to watch Hertha a couple of years ago, when they made it to this Bundesliga for the first time in ages. In the 90ties, they played in front of 3.500 in that gigantic ground. But attendances generally are pretty good in the Bundesliga and 2nd division... This Charming Man Posted 12 February, 2013 Share Posted 12 February, 2013 Think it was only the 4th time they've played each other as well. Gutted I missed out on that one. A mate went and his pictures looked quality.
