mikee Posted 12 February, 2013 Share Posted 12 February, 2013 I dont want to be a doom merchant (lord knows, we have enough of those already) but another thing Moyes mentioned which I completely agreed with was that much of our improvement was already evident under NA. So I dont share your shock at what MP has been able to achieve, fantastic though the City win was. It was one win. The 2-2 at Chelsea was almost as impressive given the 2-0 half time deficit, away from home. We defended badly in the Wigan game and we gave away a very poor goal v City, so there is more improvement to come. Dont get me wrong, Saturday was brilliant and I am sure we will keep improving but its not quite the quantum leap you make out just yet I agree that our results and performances had improved under Adkins but what we saw against City - and in parts against ManU and Wigan is in a different league entirely. We now seem to be able to dominate the ball and possession so I think there has been a marked improvement from just about every player. I loved Adkins but I am so glad we have got MP. pangy Posted 12 February, 2013 Share Posted 12 February, 2013 Adkins never would of made a double substitution at half time like MP did against Man U,I know we didnt win that game but those subs turned the game in our favour and on another day we would of won. mulletsaint Posted 12 February, 2013 Share Posted 12 February, 2013 They usually show all the build up and other analysis of the weekend with a heavily edited/highlighted version of the game. Nice one. Lucky I recorded it then 'cause I forgot last night.
