Premiership Nigel Adkins & Staff Preplanned

Heard Nigel he went on holiday straight away.

Not been heard of since.

Also heard relationship between him and players bit strained, training was getting boring, same old stuff.

Was Crosby a Premiership Assistant Manager? Was Wilkins Premiership? Was Jim Stannard Premiership?

In that case, should we have made the change before start of season, guess Cortese was waiting for opportunity to get Pocco whom was still employed and laboured on with Adkins, knowing that he was on borrowed time, hence his applauding the supporters at every opportunity to thank them.

This has all been preplanned since the day we were promoted.

Think Cortese new straight away Adkins was a small fish in a big pond.

Is it necessary to start a new thread on this? From the way you're phrasing it, all you're going on is hearsay. Go on, be a devil and tell us who your source is. Is it Doris the Tea Lady?

If Nigel hasn't been heard of since, do you think that there has been some serious foul play? Kidnapped? Murdered?

You could be on to something there but it's probably best left in the past. Nigel will always be a Saints legend, really top bloke but we have to move on now. I saw somebody on here liken it to splitting up with a long term partner and at that point, I had already made that comparison to myself. There was a bit of denial at first then anger etc and we pretty much did follow all the steps you do when you break up with someone. There will always be times where we'll think "For goodness sake, I wish Nigel was still here. We'd have defended that corner better!" just like we tend to think "So and so would have loved it here, I wish we hadn't have broken up". But the fact is it's over now and I think the majority of us have accepted that and we now have somebody new, just as you would after you break up with someone. Nigel won't like it too much no doubt but he'll find a club that he fits with. Circle of life, folks!

As for the staff being PL quality, I guess we don't know. We don't really know how much or how little of an involvement they had. Maybe we'll find out one day if Nige recruits them to his new club, who knows. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but the fact is we're in the here and the now as Nigel would say!

Frankly, I think this was clear now.

Nigel Adkins was brought in to complete a project. He did so with flying colours.

Now we have someone working towards the next stage of the project.

Ruthless, unsentimental and utterly contrary to footballing convention..... And we just defeated the reigning champions.

Not heard of since? I saw him in Sainsbury's three days ago. You got the holiday bit right he had a heavy tan, seemed very cheerful as well.

He was over here, spotted by an Udders fan at Trader Vics Dubai (hope he had a Samoan Fog Cutter) and in a meeting on the terrace at Abu Dhabi Golf Club
