Graffito Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 Didn't notice it live but saw it on Motd where someone said he might get into trouble for that one (wiping his @rse).
Saint_clark Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 If he does it'll be ridiculous. Not sure the beeb commentator knew the history of it, just took it at face value...
dinger Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 It made me fall in love with football again.
Brizzie Saints Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 made me laugh, thought he might have got booked tho glad he didn't.
PercyR Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 So what did it actually mean? with reference to his televised toilet break last month JP sh*ts when he wants....
Saint Fan CaM Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 Classic moment and great to see a top spirit in team.
Dr Who? Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 Fantastic, so please he did that. Makes me love football even more today
Pugwash Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 Fantastic character, great rapport with fans. Let's give the guy a home and get him signed on a new contract. Over to you Mr C...
kpturner Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 I dont get it So what did it actually mean? You're both on a wind-up surely? Did you not see the Everton game?
ant Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 If you're more of an animated GIF kinda person:
pressingon Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 Funny as a one off but never want to see it again. Not keen on the thumb in the mouth either that seems popular at the moment.
Hatch Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 any significance in the 'raspberry blowing' part of his celebration?
Liquidshokk Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 any significance in the 'raspberry blowing' part of his celebration? Maybe a "nurr nurr na nurr nurr, I told you I was awesome and should be played" kinda thing... Sent from my Lumia 900 using Board Express
Red Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 If you look closely, it seems he almost bottles out of it, until several team mates point to him and egg him on to do it - which shows they rehearsed it and shows a great team spirit, and that the team are reacting / acknowledging the crowd banter re: Punch chants. Great bit of humor as far as I am concerned - similar to the Charlie George (one man went to mow) and Roy Keane (where's your jacket) goads - for the older supporters! Wasn't there also one about Shilton and "playing away"? Can't quite remember that one, but seem to remember it was funny at the time.
fareham saint phil Posted 11 February, 2013 Posted 11 February, 2013 Remember Terry Curran running off years ago in a league cup match v WBA thought he was being subbed and then to everyones amusement he came back on, he just looked sheepish and got on with it lol. Its football banter lets hope he doesnt get the bums rush out of here
bender Posted 11 February, 2013 Posted 11 February, 2013 It would be far funnier if he baked one all day and then after scoring, pulls down his pants and curls it out on the touchline.
Miltonroader07 Posted 11 February, 2013 Posted 11 February, 2013 who cares, the win over-shadows this crap !!!!
110_Persaint Posted 11 February, 2013 Posted 11 February, 2013 It would be far funnier if he baked one all day and then after scoring, pulls down his pants and curls it out on the touchline. bored of the joke now Amen.
The Kraken Posted 11 February, 2013 Posted 11 February, 2013 Personally I think Punch should have manned up, taken a leaf out of Gary Lineker's book and just had a sh*t on the pitch. [video=youtube;9t_8pfbCH-4]
gjphilsaint Posted 11 February, 2013 Posted 11 February, 2013 Curran also did that at the 2nd leg of the league Cup semi final against Leeds in 78. It went to extra time and Lawrie mac had to wait to give the final team talk whilst the team waited for him... I remember all of the team cracking up as he sprinted back on....
September Saint Posted 12 February, 2013 Posted 12 February, 2013 Manure fans couldn't believe what they were seeing when he did that. They're in love with him now. Surely we should have a Portaloo in the technical area to minimise the absence!
sussexsaint Posted 12 February, 2013 Posted 12 February, 2013 I thought it was fantastic and to me showed how much he is enjoying his football with us at the moment, scored some cracking and important goals. Massive respiect , deserves his contract if he will take us up on the offer
