Matthew Le Tissier Posted 10 February, 2013 Author Share Posted 10 February, 2013 In a serious note I don't like fox. If it were me and Shaw was out and we had the options we have now IDE rather have Clyne or the left and Dickson on the right.
Barry the Badger Posted 10 February, 2013 Share Posted 10 February, 2013 Clyne on the left and Dickson on the right. That can't be what you meant to write.
Whitey Grandad Posted 10 February, 2013 Share Posted 10 February, 2013 TBH you have to really have it in for him to blame him for the goal, its one of those that if you had an agenda you could blame almost anyone; The corner taker Clyne for not doing better or taking a booking A CB for not doing a better job on Dzeko The left midfielder (J Rod) not following Zabeletta as lets face it, the right back isnt technically the left backs responsibility I'm not blaming him alone for the goal, the whole team were involved, I'm just saying that he could have done better. It all happened too quickly for him to react. If he had assessed the position more quickly then he was in a position where he could have covered Zabaleta, but he is what he is, that's not his fault but it's why he's not a top-class full-back. Gambol2K9 Posted 10 February, 2013 Share Posted 10 February, 2013 Beat the champions 3-1 and people still find something to moan about. Just enjoy it, every one of our players had a brilliant game yesterday

I'm overjoyed at the performance and the result but there's always room for improvement.

richardc Posted 10 February, 2013 Share Posted 10 February, 2013 can someone answer me a question as Ive never played in defence - but fox continually plays towards the middle and leaves the wide player with so much space and he continually does this - is this something that fall backs do or is he told to do this- Ive not noticed Shaw do this quite so much. Colinjb Posted 10 February, 2013 Share Posted 10 February, 2013 So, in summary: Limited backup player is limited. Big thread for such an unsurprising theme!

St_Tel49 Posted 10 February, 2013 Share Posted 10 February, 2013 Given that he has lost his starting place to a 17 year old and has had very little game time recently, he came in and did a good job against one of the top teams in the land, not sure what more he could have done ? I presume that the OP had a barney with his partner and came on here to get it out of his system ? Best to just kick the cat in private as you won't make yourself look an idiot in front of the Saintsweb faithful !! ( ps. sincere apologies to MLT's poor animal:) ) Two of the top teams - he played against Man U too.
The Cat Posted 10 February, 2013 Share Posted 10 February, 2013 He did well yesterday. He seems more comfortable against teams who don't play traditional wingers as he struggles against players running directly at him and blocking crosses (although he even did this once yesterday!) St_Tel49 Posted 10 February, 2013 Share Posted 10 February, 2013 Were you even watching? I agree that he took his time to settle in this league but yesterday he played well...really not sure where that post came from? His @rse
