pangy Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Davis came in today and was superb just like he was at Old Trafford(did he play at Wigan),does MP stay with the 3 midfielsers davis/cork/morgan or does he bring back in Gaston in the hope he can start producing? For me Davis has warranted a run in the team
LGTL Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 At the moment, Davis. Great to have such competition for places though.
Saint Garrett Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Davis has won the shirt at the moment. Gaston isn't a bad player to have as an option off the bench though.
markr27 Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Davis seems to be more suited as the most advanced of the three... has always looked impressive in that role...
LGTL Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 To be fair, there's an argument for a "Rodriguez or Lallana??" thread. Don't think i'll start it though.

Saint Fan CaM Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Davies looked the £12m player today IMO. Lallana looked off the pace today still - the way JRod has been, can't see Adam getting a start.
Matthew Le Tissier Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 To be fair Davis had a great game today. But come on let's be honest they are few and far between. On today's performance Davis was quality . But tmrws another day. That aside I don't think Ramirez is worth anywhere near what we paid.

But in the games he has featured under MP he has been quality,Gaston has looked the same all season
Matthew Le Tissier Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Also I must add. You could play an average player infront of Morgan and cork and they would still shine. In my opinion we have the best centre midfield partnership in the league. I can not believe no one even tried to bid on either in the window . For me Morgan is in a class of his own

Prem manager-I would like to buy Morgan from you,how much do you want? Cortese -£20 mill cash up front and a 40% sell on clause No chance would he sell them Edited 9 February, 2013 by pangy
ToreSF Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Think Davis has looked very good under Pochettino. Seems to fit the tactics.
JoeShmoe Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Also I must add. You could play an average player infront of Morgan and cork and they would still shine. In my opinion we have the best centre midfield partnership in the league. I can not believe no one even tried to bid on either in the window . For me Morgan is in a class of his own I don't agree tbh, in the first half of the Man U game Ramirez did nothing, it's the closing down from the front that means Morgan and Cork aren't overrun. Davis has worked his socks off pressing in defence and being a good point of attack - he's been a difference maker I think the last few weeks Saying that I'd Ramirez gets fit and can play the high tempo MP wants he can be that player but he's got a lot to do right now
Matthew Le Tissier Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Like I said I think we could better both Best thing we can do with gaston is flog him Waste of money and limits our formation .

110_Persaint Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 Gaston's the better player, the greater threat, and far more likely to create (or score) a goal. But he's on a different wavelength to the rest of the team, like a fish out of water most of the time. Davis looks more up to it, more committed, and suits our game plan a lot more nicely. Unless we radically change our style of play/tactics it will always be Davis for me.
ottery st mary Posted 10 February, 2013 Posted 10 February, 2013 Glad we have Davis and Gaston in the team/SQUAD.
