Where's Weston??? And a few others.

Anyone who has played football at any kind of standard could see just how good he is/was.

The boy has beeen top class for years.

I have a lotof clients in Manc & told them just how good he is. A lot of them now reckon he WILL be the one to replace Carrick. I would say he is a better player than him NOW, but then i have never really rated Carrick.

When he first came (as an 18 yo?) he was a bit light weight and struggled (with just about everyone else) in JP's relegation team. He always had ability and potential and has benefited in going down a level playing games, playing in a winning team and growing with the team. Now he is the real deal and IMO one of the best young midfielders in the country and must be banging on the door for a call up to the full French squad.

I think he has teh potential to be a world class midfield general - reminds me a little of Matthäus - if he can get close to that he will be exceptional, and as said before in teh position he plays, he wont really hit his full potential until 27/28 - hopefully he will still be with us then. Lets hops hes stays, but if he is sold, I hope we get the full value this time and he will be a 30mil+ player one day.

I have in the past been scathing about Morgan, I now will concede that was a misjudgement. He seems to have become a different player since the new manager has arrived and now looks like a superb midfielder

Yep me too, wanted him out a while back but now has made a complete turnaround.

They're educated about our team and that worries me. The way they talk it's almost like they're waiting for an auction to see which lot to buy, like vultures circling their prey. Stay up and we should have no trouble keeping them, but if any club in the country could turn our young players' heads, it's United.

One of those posters may be me...

I always liked Carrick even when he was at West Ham, classy player who would have had 50 or 60 caps if he'd been Italian or French. If United came in for him there is nothing we can do but wish him luck, who wouldn;t want to play for them? We've just got to enjoy him while we can and if he does go onto better things then Man U would probably be the club i'd like him to go to.

Been with us all the way, which is quite nice. Great vision whoever spotted him. Forked out what was relatively a lot of money at the time.

Lowe signed him. The day he signed a few of us met up for a drink in Basingstoke and said what an odd signing it was given the money involved and how we were meant to be so skint. Was still a strange signing given the circumstances but he's proven himself to be an excellent buy. Arguably our 3 best players this season cost the same as Mayuka.

I believe it was Prost who recommended Morgan to Rupert Lowe. Might be wrong but think fee was meant to be pretty low like 500K Euros........probably best bit of business Saints have done for many a year (yes, even better than Lambert as Morgan is so young and his resale value is going through the roof).

Could never understand why some never rated him..............he was head and shoulders above anyone that season he was signed as an 18 year old.

I still do wonder where the money came from. Though I guess it has worked out well in the end. Would be interesting to see a thread on here from when we signed him.
