Pilchards Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Does he have a plan B as it would be interesting to see it? I get the impression that he wants pressure football from start to finish but he will need to get the guys fitter to do that. Can another team find its weakness as I do recall Barca, Real & Manchester Utd struggled against it? I have a great feeling about today and the performance will get so many people talking.
Thedelldays Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 (edited) not so much about being fitter...its about being good enough it wont take long before teams see our newish style and counter it... Edited 9 February, 2013 by Thedelldays
Saint-Armstrong Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 At Wigan when Cork replaced Clyne it almost looked like a 3-4-3 at times. Boruc; Yoshida, Schneiderlin, Hooiveld; Cork, Davis, Ward-Prowse, Shaw; Rodriguez, Lambert, Lallana. Morgan as an anchorman connecting it up. Water-carrier, if you like.
Turkish Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Well in the last two games he's made changes that have effected the game so it's fair to say he does.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 not so much about being fitter...its about being good enough it wont take long before teams see our newish style and counter it... You realise weve not won yet with the "style" today is the day though
Dr Who? Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 not so much about being fitter...its about being good enough it wont take long before teams see our newish style and counter it... People have been trying to do that to Barcalona for years, if only it was that easy! Lets just counter them.
Thedelldays Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 People have been trying to do that to Barcalona for years, if only it was that easy! Lets just counter them. slight difference in saints playing that way than a team with iniesta, xavi, messi, pouyol, pique, henry, ronaldinho, fabregas...etc unless you think jos hooiveld is in their class..?
Dr Who? Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Just to that easy to counter putting pressure on higher up the field, unless you are drilled. We only do it second half as we would be dead on our feet after 70 minutes. Think our away tactics are to just stay in the game, then turn up the heat in the second half. I think at home we will go at them from the off, then contain later on.
thorpie the sinner Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Has Shaw recovered? Horrible feeling we will see Fox today!
Saint Garrett Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Has Shaw recovered? Horrible feeling we will see Fox today! Not the end of the world. Yes Shaw is better, but we've had worse left backs. Not sure of a defence of Fox, Hooiveld, Yoshi and Cork though!

Tanadari Lee is, he's going to be a great player for us this season.

Plan B.......I think it's to actually score some goals after all that high pressure football.
