Rickie Lambert: Manchester City goal "best feeling of my career"'

Rickie evidently a happy clapper. See the last line about him backing MP to get Saints into the Champions League.

I think he clearly needs to be replaced with a less ambitious striker, one that will go missing for half the season and help maintain the long held consensual dream of mid-table mediocrity, dealing out the occasional bloody nose for one of them big teams.

And sell him to Milan!

I think our talk about Europe and champions league is utterly embarrassing

We will probably be in the bottom 3 after the Newcastle game... Having won 1 in 11

We will get well beat today too

How does that embarrassment manifest itself in your day to day life?

Do you walk around with glum face?

You are right we will not get into Europe this season let alone the champions league.

2 season we will have our European place. IF we stay up this season of course.

The money next season is mad, and then a spending cap evens it out lovely.

Sir Ricky!

You do know that every other club gets the money as well and the spending cap you claim evens it out wont as it will just mean the clubs with more income will be able to spend more.

I cover my face with a black scarf every time someone mentions saints and I hold up a sign saying 'don't mention Europe'

I admire the commitment to your cause, even though I may not agree with it.

I'd still like to know how it affects TDD in his life though. Headbutting the keyboard whenever Saints and Champions League are mentioned a bit of a stretch? It's a nice mental image.

Best goal celebration of the season to date, that. Look at that bounce in the away end there when it goes in.

The more I watch it the more I think that may be my favourite ever goal.

The first time finish, the commentator screaming Lambert, the despairing dive from Joe Hart, the noise as it hits the net, the eruption in the away end, the way the players go mental nearly ending up in with the fans themselves...it's just amazing.

Calm down dear it was just a bit of bantz, priceless the wum can't take a bit of wumming on what you call is a 'pointless mongboard'.

Is making a joke about f*cking someones dead mum 'bantz'? fact that you have to resort to vile and sick personal comments in an attempt to get a rise out of me is what is priceless sunshine.

Great faux outrage, well done. Carry on being a forum character you have obviously got very little else in your life. I'm off now to go watch the Saints ta da.

You might find that sort of thing funny but not everyone does fella. Ironic that you accuse me of having nothing in my life yet it's you making sick personal jibes in an attempt to get me to bite. Pathetic.

Bloody hell lad; there's a bit of a difference between having a laugh and being a tastelessly sick f*ck. I think your social skills must be in need of work if you fail to differentiate between the two.

Makes me wonder if he's got aspergers or some such as he clearly doesn't realise how/why he's gone too far...

Great video, love the players reaction, the fans and the commentary.

Hope Rickie scores his 100th Saints goal today, favourite player by a mile.

Another great goal by the man, watch the reaction of the fans, players and the commentary.
