Saint Charlie Posted 8 February, 2013 Share Posted 8 February, 2013 Proper journalism. Better article than anyone following SFC has written for ages.

Cheam Saint Posted 8 February, 2013 Share Posted 8 February, 2013 Good article although it's a shame it claims that Ramirez crossed for Schneiderlin's goal. Jay Rod deserves so much credit for that goal.
RobM Posted 8 February, 2013 Share Posted 8 February, 2013 Very good article. It's refreshing to see some proper journalism, from somebody who has clearly researched, understood and witnessed us play. You can immediately see the difference between reporting based on knowledge and re-hashing made-up stories from Internet forums. The Cat Posted 8 February, 2013 Share Posted 8 February, 2013 Enjoyed that. Loved this quote: "It may seem like we are running more," he says. "But really we are just running in a more organised way."
The Cat Posted 8 February, 2013 Share Posted 8 February, 2013 Not sure why he thought Ramirez set up Morgan's goal at Wigan though.

shurlock Posted 8 February, 2013 Share Posted 8 February, 2013 Enjoyed that. Loved this quote: "It may seem like we are running more," he says. "But really we are just running in a more organised way." Yep zeroed in on that as well. Love to know what it means in practice. Seems to be the key to understanding MP's system and his 'value-added'.
The Cat Posted 8 February, 2013 Share Posted 8 February, 2013 Yep zeroed in on that as well. Love to know what it means in practice. Seems to be the key to understanding MP's system and his 'value-added'. They know how far every player runs during a game, so I presume the stats would be the same as when Adkins was in charge. Part of it will be the intelligence of runs, making sure we communicate well and pressing as a team rather than 1 or 2 players wasting energy without support. Positioning is also important. If you are required to close a player down then why run 25 yards to do it when you can run less than 10. I'd like to see Jonathan Wilson write an article on MP's tactics. Dr Who? Posted 8 February, 2013 Share Posted 8 February, 2013 Very good read, I just want to see us get 3 points and not look back. Contain in the first half and press in the second. I think at home it maybe different from the start. Interested to see what we are like from the off!
Turkish Posted 8 February, 2013 Share Posted 8 February, 2013 Disgusting, disgraceful article full of lies and sloppy journalism. So We scored from Ramirez cross on Saturday did we? Clearly hasn't done his research as Ramirez has been substituted by then. He also belittles Schniderlin saying his run was 50 yards,it was clearly from the end of his own penalty area so nearly 90 yards. Typical patronising badly researched nonsense in a poorly written article cherry picking a few examples to make their point.
