Saint Charlie Posted 6 February, 2013 Author Posted 6 February, 2013 Neil Heaney: a poor man's Perry Groves. Glasgow Saint: a Saints fan from Glasgow? Glasgow Saint was originally Bournemouth Saint so he probably isnt even linked to Glasgow - all part of the persona. Heaney was a good pro but lacked ability.
Dig Dig Posted 6 February, 2013 Posted 6 February, 2013 Big Glasgow fan. His recent performances have been a little below par. Maybe he's been found out a little but still an important poster for us.
Saint Garrett Posted 6 February, 2013 Posted 6 February, 2013 Used to be funnier, but think his standards have dropped recently. I hope he gets back to his former self and ups his game or it'll be pompeyonline for him!!
Tokyo-Saint Posted 6 February, 2013 Posted 6 February, 2013 Glesga give's a wave, Glesga Glesga give's a wave.
Hatch Posted 6 February, 2013 Posted 6 February, 2013 Banging a bird from Reading back in the day, while listening to Radio 5, Neil Heaney scored at exactly the same time as the money shot. Away to Coventry I think we were. Always had a soft spot for him since.
Colinjb Posted 6 February, 2013 Posted 6 February, 2013 Glesga give's a wave, Glesga Glesga give's a wave. Give him a chance, he hasn't had his morning Buckfast yet!

Away to Coventry I think we were. Always had a soft spot for him since. Shouldn't that be a hard spot ??

IMO he was a poor player. think you're doing him a slight injustice.....61 apps and 5 goals in two seasons. we bought him from Arsenal for 300K ...and two years later sold him to Man.City (who?)...for 500K. He was certainly not the best we've ever had, but he was no Ali Dia.

Stud mark of doom Posted 6 February, 2013 Posted 6 February, 2013 One of the best songs I thought, to the tune of The Sweeney Neil Heaney Neil Heaney Ba da da da Daaaaa Da da daa daa
Dr Who? Posted 6 February, 2013 Posted 6 February, 2013 Neil Heaney, a little hit and miss. Glasgow like anyone, if you do not like what they say, then ignore them, or make a comment, but do not let it get to you.
Bucks Saint Posted 7 February, 2013 Posted 7 February, 2013 Quite liked Heaney but can't remember why. Says it all really
Saint Charlie Posted 7 February, 2013 Author Posted 7 February, 2013 .. is there some hidden significance to that statement that I've missed.... .or ? Sharpen up Davie.
Gigersaint Posted 7 February, 2013 Posted 7 February, 2013 Away to cov? Yeah right! Didn't he score against someone in 45 seconds or something? Think that 45 second goal was against Southend in 3rd round FA Cup game if I recall correctly?
Turkish Posted 7 February, 2013 Posted 7 February, 2013 A poor player froma bygone era. He is no Michael Antonio.
Bucks Saint Posted 7 February, 2013 Posted 7 February, 2013 He was one of the three scorers in that epic 3-1 win over Newcastle, when we were 1 down after 88 mins.
