Saint Charlie Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Mysterious tweet from Luke... Just my luck
Saint Garrett Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Possibly. Could be something completely unrelated though.
niceandfriendly Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 hopefully he missed a bus or something...
Saint Charlie Posted 4 February, 2013 Author Posted 4 February, 2013 Yeah you can never tell with him. Will know soon enough though, he is due to play tomorrow.
svetigpung Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 mum said he had to clean his room before he could go out and play with his mates.

Hatch Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 maybe he has just found out he is room sharing with Jonjo Shelvey

Saint Garrett Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Depends if he got injured and then tweeted about it straight away. Or whether he did it this morning and tweeted about it now. Either way, if he is injured then he is injured. Not much point speculating about it. Just hope he is fit asap.
Saint Charlie Posted 4 February, 2013 Author Posted 4 February, 2013 FWIW his Mum also tweeted: Gutted for my Luke His Sister said he got injured training today so cant play tomorrow. Lets hope its just a knock that keeps him out tomorrow.
Hopkins Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Nicole Shaw @NicoleyShaw @Natalielallana1 luke got injured training for the England u21s today so he cant play tomorrow
Saint Charlie Posted 4 February, 2013 Author Posted 4 February, 2013 Personally I blame Stuart Pearce's archaic training methods.
saint_ed Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 FWIW his Mum also tweeted: Gutted for my Luke His Sister said he got injured training today so cant play tomorrow. Lets hope its just a knock that keeps him out tomorrow. Stalker.
Dig Dig Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Personally I blame Stuart Pearce's archaic training methods. Probably told him to stick his head in where is hurts and played him a "Psycho" compilation of him getting stuck in back when football was a mans game.
Saint Charlie Posted 4 February, 2013 Author Posted 4 February, 2013 Stalker. Thanks. Came across it through searching his name. Thought it was worth sharing.
niceandfriendly Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 you follow luke shaws mother and sister? my goodness. the definition of football fan stalker.
trousers Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 So, is that both our first choice full backs potentially out for the Man City game? Deep joy...
saint_ed Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Thanks. Came across it through searching his name. Thought it was worth sharing. Sorry, should have included a wink. I was joking.
Dig Dig Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 so, is that both our first choice full backs potentially out for the man city game? Deep joy... ffs
ToreSF Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 So, is that both our first choice full backs potentially out for the Man City game? Deep joy... Our first choice defense could possible be out: Shaw, Forren, Fonte and Clyne.
Saint Garrett Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Nicole Shaw @NicoleyShaw @BenWardProwse think he has strained the inside of his knee View conversation
CaneNero Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 went to the same school as Ben Ward Prowse (Cams Hill LAD)
Saint Charlie Posted 4 February, 2013 Author Posted 4 February, 2013 Nicole Shaw @NicoleyShaw @BenWardProwse think he has strained the inside of his knee ?? View conversation Doesnt sound good!
melmacian_saint Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Hopefully it's just a knock and will be fine for next Saturday...PLEASE.
Saint Charlie Posted 4 February, 2013 Author Posted 4 February, 2013 It sounds like a medial ligament strain which would put him out for a few weeks...hope not as he is so important for us.
derry Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 It sounds like a medial ligament strain which would put him out for a few weeks...hope not as he is so important for us. Lallana's estimate at the time was 8-10 weeks, back in 7.
Georgie Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Fox, Richardson and hooiveld in defence against man city? God help us :-/
Lifelongsaint83 Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Matt targett@Mattytargett Trained with the first team today #saintsfc In the squad for Saturday?
Window Cleaner Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Fox, Richardson and hooiveld in defence against man city? God help us :-/ Cork would eventually go to right-back as usual. I happen to think he's quite good there and we have midfield options. City might well be depleted as well.
Georgie Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Cork would eventually go to right-back as usual. I happen to think he's quite good there and we have midfield options. City might well be depleted as well. Possibly. But it's fox that worries me the most. Not just this game though, if shaw is out for a few weeks it is not going to be good
Turkish Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Possibly. But it's fox that worries me the most. Not just this game though, if shaw is out for a few weeks it is not going to be good He didn't do much wrong against Man United.
saintbob40 Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Need Cork and Morgan in the middle. Richardson (with Clyne LB) or Clyne to RB (with Fox at LB) or Richardson and Fox if Clyne and Shaw not fit.
Saint Garrett Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Possibly. But it's fox that worries me the most. Not just this game though, if shaw is out for a few weeks it is not going to be good He's not that bad, ok he's not anything special but he can do a job there.
Saint Charlie Posted 4 February, 2013 Author Posted 4 February, 2013 Lallana's estimate at the time was 8-10 weeks, back in 7. Hopefully nothing like that as hose timeframes pretty much put you out for the season at this stage. Hopefully just a knock but knee's are the worst place to get those.
Window Cleaner Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Need Cork and Morgan in the middle. Richardson (with Clyne LB) or Clyne to RB (with Fox at LB) or Richardson and Fox if Clyne and Shaw not fit. and did we use Richardson on Saturday when Clyne was injured? Don't think so although he might not even have been on the bench.
Dig Dig Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 He's not that bad, ok he's not anything special but he can do a job there. He is pretty bad

fez Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Remember how quickly he recovered after being taken off in a stretcher at Villa. Played superbly the following Wednesday at Chelsea.
Dr Who? Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 He is very young and hopefully can be fully fit in no time. Was not fully fit for OT, but was back on Saturday. So a week should do it.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 So, is that both our first choice full backs potentially out for the Man City game? Deep joy... Clyne and Gaston are also out as they have withdrawn from their national squads which usually means they are not allowed to play! although not sure if this applies when the Internationals are friendlies.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 I see Forren is fit to play for Norway but not fit for our bench last saturday!
krissyboy31 Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 and did we use Richardson on Saturday when Clyne was injured? Don't think so although he might not even have been on the bench. Richardson was on the bench but the sub wasn't like for like. Lallana came on and Cork went to RB.
Shroppie Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Clyne and Gaston are also out as they have withdrawn from their national squads which usually means they are not allowed to play! although not sure if this applies when the Internationals are friendlies. I wasn't sure about friendliest either. Anyone know?
Dark Munster Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Hucking fell. It was obvious to most here that bringing in a LB cover was required during the window.
krissyboy31 Posted 4 February, 2013 Posted 4 February, 2013 Hucking fell. It was obvious to most here that bringing in a LB cover was required during the window. Matt Targett tweeted that he was training with the first tem today.
