conventionally members of "the 92" just see a game at the ground , doesn't have to be a saints game , as otherwise unless you're a luton / skates / Bradford there's no chance of doing it. I'm up to 78 grounds now out of current 92 not sure when I'll get to do the northern league 2 ones.

First- team game, I believe. I've been to quite a few grounds but the buggers keep pulling them down and building new ones. :(

I agree. 82 plus 7 currently in the Conference prem.

After Saturday I'm now on 81 for clubs at their current grounds + 4 clubs (Shrewsbury, AFC Wimbledon [Plough Lane + Selhurst Park], Oxford United and Rotherham [Millmooor + Don Valley Stadium]) at their old grounds, of those 81 / 85 only at Aldershot have I never seen Saints play.

Also seen Saints in league or FA / League cups at league at several clubs no longer in Football League, Stockport, Scarborough, Wrexham, Luton, Grimsby, Lincoln, Hereford and Mansfield.

Well oldsarum I'm impressed and a little dubious

On Saturday i went to my 100th ground but I've only seen Saints at 80 of the current 92 and for at least 3 of these (Rotherham, Wimbledon and Oxford united) not their current ground

As well as those three there are 11 teams who I can't remember us playing a competitive first team game at their current ground. These are:

Crawley Town

Bury

Cheltenham T

Burton Albion

Fleetwood Town

Chesterfield

Morecambe

York City

Accrington Stanley

Aldershot

Barnet

Which of these have I got wrong or are you counting friendlies/reserve games?

Barnet was a pre-season friendly in 2010. York was an FA Cup 4th rd tie in 1971. In my count of 82 I included Aldershot as I went to a league cup match against Norwich back in 1984. Didnt see much as it was played in thick fog and we had to ask Bryan Gunn who had scored.

The Barnet and Cheltenham games were pre-season friendlies we've played both teams two or three times

I went to York for 89/90 League cup game which we on 1-0 and had Ray Wallace sent off on last of minute, but we alsio played at York in the old Div 2 in 74/75 and 75/76, besides the FA Cup match

We also played a friendly at Aldershot back in 70's/ 80's and one more recently at Oxford 's new ground but I never attended either of these games

Rules are here : http://www.ninetytwoclub.org.uk/nineq.htm

You will note "(2) Any recognised competition normally entered by Football/Premier League Clubs at first-team level may be included. Friendly matches do not count."

They have also recently removed the (seriously anal) rules which meant if a team dropped out of the league and was promoted back in, games from their previous spell didn't count !

Nicely, they also allow "In the case of clubs moving grounds, either the original ground or the new ground can be counted during the first two seasons following the move. Once the club has played at the new ground for two seasons then the original ground becomes invalid and thereafter only the new ground can be counted within the 92."

"On the day the "92nd" ground is visited, the qualifier must have visited the current grounds of the other 91 clubs in the League at that time. In recognition of this achievement, the qualifier may then claim to become a Member of an exclusive club of football supporters who follow League soccer and wear their 92 Club insignia with pride knowing that in over 30 years less than 1500 other fans have "done the lot"."

I'm not sure I'm bothered any more. :D

That rule ruins it in my opinion, it's about going to the 92 clubs not their grounds. The 92 should be more than collecting all the grounds it should be a representation of your footballing life. For instance my 50 odd includes a 1 nil away win for Plymouth Argyle, my dads team, in the FA cup at the Baseball Ground that I would have to swap for what could be a meaningless game at Pride Park. What about your first away game with your mates, the game that so and so got arrested for drunk and disorderly, first game at Pompey, none of them will count if the team moves.

Exactly. It seems to be all about the grounds and not the clubs, in which case why should it matter if you only watch a reserve team playing?

What do you need rules for, you've either been to a ground or you have not? It's geographic for heaven's sake

I wonder how long it would take to do all 92 if you were really dedicated with an endless supply of cash? (and relevant transport options - helicopter?)

I guess if you planned it well you could tick off 3 or so each "league" weekend, maybe 1 midweek. Add Cup weekends (JPT, FA, League, Europe), the odd international friendly too... could it be done in a single season?

A question for the panel.

I have been to Bramall Lane, walked into the car park, looked at the statue etc and touched the structure itself. However, I have not been inside the ground.

Does this count?

Definatley not

Before Northampton moved to Sixfields I'd been to the old County Ground to watch Cricket and during a break in play walked on football pitch and terraces, but never considered that counted.

In my view you have to have watched a game

So for that reason I wouldn't count although I've visited Olympic Stadium Berlin, Bernabau, Rapid Vienna and Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna.
