Leicestersaint Posted 3 February, 2013 Share Posted 3 February, 2013 That is a shame for both of them - but maybe good news for Saints if they can get over their knocks soon.

SaintBobby Posted 3 February, 2013 Share Posted 3 February, 2013 Sounds like it really is a recurring dead leg problem for Ramirez then.
Window Cleaner Posted 4 February, 2013 Share Posted 4 February, 2013 Explains their substitutions on Saturday! it was known that Gaston went off with a dead leg on Saturday, said so on Sky. Clyne was obviously injured from early on as well looked to be struggling and he rarely does that.

dubai_phil Posted 4 February, 2013 Share Posted 4 February, 2013 Sounds like it really is a recurring dead leg problem for Ramirez then. He was totally clattered by a studs up challenge from a Wigan player it was shown a number of times on the live game and taters could not understand how Wigan player was not booked. Inconsistent reffing is a major problem in the UK; Refs apply the rules as they see them and not to the letter of the law. Put up a stat yesterday in another thread Italy Serie A 78 red cards so far this season, PL 27. Barton was sent off for 2 yellows in Marseille yesterday for tackles that he thought wouldn't even get a foul in the UK. Reffing in the Uk needs a severe upgrade, they need to apply the rules and not what they think the rules to be. There will probably be 10 penalties a game but until the players play to the rules and not to what refs let them get away with it will continue to be chaos and bad injuries will keep on happening. david in sweden Posted 4 February, 2013 Share Posted 4 February, 2013 watching the game on Saturday, the commentator repeatedly commented on Wigan players who fouled both Shaw and Rodriguez (out of ref's line of vision).... and got away with it. It's totally ridiculous when millions of people can watch a game on TV (complete with replays), whilst the ref. is directing an entirely different game where he is is conned by such players and misses important decisions. Although it's not totally true to say " the camera never lies" ..it sees a darn sight more than an unsighted ref. or one who misjudges a situation. No wonder they get so much criticism.
