hypochondriac Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 I don't think guly or fonte will be playing.
Pilchards Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Lallana and Davis have to start today. Our second half performances in the last 2 games were outstanding. We need that for 90 minutes though. That's the problem as we dont have the fitness yet for 90 mins. We also lack some quality on the bench unless MP gets something extra with Chaplow & Ward-Prowse.
Saint Garrett Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Thought JWP was brilliant when he came on last week. It was his tackle that set up the break for our 2nd.
trousers Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 I don't think guly or fonte will be playing. Where and when was that picture taken?
david in sweden Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 well that takes care of them......but I think that, given the present injury list, the first team will almost pick itself.... but it will be interesting to see who is on the bench.....?
shirleysfc Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 I don't think guly or fonte will be playing. Isn't that Ramirez as well?
110_Persaint Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 That is indeed Gaston. The question remains - where and when?
The Cat Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 That is indeed Gaston. The question remains - where and when? Last night in Nando's. Luke Shaw tweeted that he was in there whch must mean he's not playing either.
Dr Who? Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Probably at the top of the West Quay, and not today! It it was today then they still might be playing! Doubt they have to report in until later. Lunchtime or later.
Dr Who? Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Last night in Nando's. Luke Shaw tweeted that he was in there whch must mean he's not playing either. I do not understand is there a rule that all the squad not playing have to eat out at Nandos together? We kick off at 17:30.... They are allowed a life.
Pilchards Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 So we have a group of players staying up till midnight eating horse meat and drinking ginger beer, blimey we are doomed.
Dr Who? Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 I must tell my boss that I was in Nandos on Thursday night, and I was at work 08:00 on Friday! Next time I will tell him I need the day off 2+2= 5
shirleysfc Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 So we have a group of players staying up till midnight eating horse meat and drinking ginger beer, blimey we are doomed. That is EXACTLY what people are saying...
Dr Who? Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 You watch the Sunday papers tomorrow, I just sent this picture to them. Scandal written all over it. Gaston is trying to score drugs on his phone as well.
Dr Who? Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Or he might be looking at the menu, I will leave this up to the papers to decide.
shirleysfc Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 You watch the Sunday papers tomorrow, I just sent this picture to them. Scandal written all over it. Gaston is trying to score drugs on his phone as well. You started on the sherry early today?
Dr Who? Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 You started on the sherry early today? That is what 3 kids do to you on a Saturday morning! Hick!
minime Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 that was last night in casa brasil in latimer street...didnt take the picture but was trying to get a table and noticed them there..
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Is that definitely Gaston and not Gazzaniga? Looks like he has that stupid rat's tail thing.
Pilchards Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Is that definitely Gaston and not Gazzaniga? Looks like he has that stupid rat's tail thing. They are the earlobes of Gaston.
Dr Who? Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Is that definitely Gaston and not Gazzaniga? Looks like he has that stupid rat's tail thing. Spotted! Good work! So 2 of see will not be paying!
hypochondriac Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Last night in Nando's. Luke Shaw tweeted that he was in there whch must mean he's not playing either. No it wasn't.
hypochondriac Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 that was last night in casa brasil in latimer street...didnt take the picture but was trying to get a table and noticed them there.. Correct.
Saint Garrett Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Pretty sure thats Gaston. Don't think any of those 3 will be playing. Hopefully Luke is fit. Interested to see what happens with Targett and whether he is involved.
trousers Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Correct. Might have been useful to include the time and venue with the original post. Still, was a good guessing game while it lasted.

trousers Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Based on injury assumptions, I'd go with this today: Boruc Clyne - Yoshida - Forren - Targett Cork - Schneiderlin Rodriguez - Davis - Lallana Lambert Subs: Davis, Fox, Hooiveld, Puncheon, Chaplow, JWP, Mayuka
Thedelldays Posted 9 February, 2013 Author Posted 9 February, 2013 Based on injury assumptions, I'd go with this today: Boruc Clyne - Yoshida - Forren - Targett Cork - Schneiderlin Rodriguez - Davis - Lallana Lambert Subs: Davis, Fox, Hooiveld, Puncheon, Chaplow, JWP, Mayuka i really cannot see a youth player who has never made the bench all of a sudden making the starting line up.... come on
trousers Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 i really cannot see a youth player who has never made the bench all of a sudden making the starting line up.... come on Would be a brave move, that's for sure. Foolish? Maybe...
Thedelldays Posted 9 February, 2013 Author Posted 9 February, 2013 Would be a brave move, that's for sure. Foolish? Maybe... why would they do it..when fox is on the bench... just silly
Spudders Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 This is shocking, what are players doing eating out and spending their money? Why are they not in their homes watching double coronation street and checking their bank balances online to see how much money they have which they aren't allowed to enjoy with less then 24 hours to go?
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 I think if Shaw isn't fit it'll be Fox with Targett on the bench. If he is half fit it'll probably be Fox with Shaw on the bench.
hypochondriac Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Might have been useful to include the time and venue with the original post. Still, was a good guessing game while it lasted. That would have removed the fun element.
trousers Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Targett not in U18 team today...(has he been playing in U21s recently?) @TomCoull: Saints U18s (vs Bolton U18s): Britt, Leggett, McCarthy, Mugabi, Wood, Gape, Ariybi, Flannigan, McQueen, Gallagher, Reed. (11am ko) #saintsfc

Suomi Saint Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Perhaps both Shaw and Targett will play? Shaw further forward?
trousers Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 on the bench..? Dunno. Would seem a bit strange to go from training with the senior squad to U18 subs bench...
Thedelldays Posted 9 February, 2013 Author Posted 9 February, 2013 Dunno. Would seem a bit strange to go from training with the senior squad to U18 subs bench... 1st team bench
dubai_phil Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Has anyone questioned whether we would see Stephens @ RB with Clyne at LB IF Shaw is out? At least Jack had some games in pre-season and has some experience from his days at Plymouth But would expect to start with Fox if no Shaw in all honesty & have the nippers on the bench
Hopkins Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Targett will probably be boosted up to the U21's. Pochettino made a point of doing that with kids at Espanyol, promoting young players to the level above their age group. Same will go for Seagar.

Cork RB Clyne LB With Davis taking Corks role like he did against Wigan. You NEVER put a untried LB (taggart) on the pitch vs City.
Saint_clark Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Who plays on the right for City? Zabaleta and Nasri? Not exactly much pace, Fox should be able to do a job...as long as he gets cover from whoever is at LM.

Pilchards Posted 9 February, 2013 Posted 9 February, 2013 Davis replaced Gaston and placed as an attacking midfielder, he's not a defensive midfielder. That is correct!!
