I'm as gutted as everyone on here that we have thrown away 3 points today and a chance to put some serious daylight between us an the bottom three. However the over blown negativity coming from the majority on the post match thread needs, I think, tempering a little. We have held a fellow relegation threatened team away from home and still sit 3 points above the relegation zone, plus our goal difference is superior. Look at Aston Villa today, letting slip a 3-1 lead and who still sit in the bottom three. It could be worse lads!

We are playing good football, the results will come. As long as we keep taking points off those around us we should be fine.

I havnt seen anything that bothers me into thinking we are doomed yet we still keep dropping silly points,I want us to be safe before the last game of the season but I fear it will go to the wire.

I'm confident we will stay up but I would like us to give the teams around us a good kicking in the process.

Are you concerned about player motivation? They have given 100% last 3 game but got only 2 points from 9! How long before heads drop?

I don't think motivation is the problem......possibly lack of quality competition for places has led to a bit of complacency for one or two, lets face it,out of the last 3 games the only one you would of realistically said we could of got something from was Wigan,I would of been happier with 3 points from nine but 2 isn't a disaster.

We are in a decent position but with Reading hitting form and QPR tightening up we need to keep plugging away,I should imagine that villa will find today's result more devastating than ours at Wigan......today could of been worse,we could of lost.

My biggest concern at the moment is that we have two tough games coming up - Man City at home and Newcastle away. City are, well, City, and are capable of winning any match, and Newcastle are starting to get their **** together especially with their new signings gelling quickly. I fear that after the next two games, where we'll be lucky to scrape even a point, means we could well go into the QPR game in the relegation zone. Whatever happens in the next two (and I genuinely see no points from them), we must beat QPR and Norwich at the start of March.

Of course, fingers crossed we beat City AND Newcastle somehow. It'd do wonders for confidence.

Our fans dont seem to understand a football match is between two teams just expect to turn up and win

2 2 was a good result a win would have course have been better but Wigan are fighting relegation too

Another draw next week would be OK too

people keep saying the results will come...yet they dont

So we have only lost once in our last seven games which includes Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea and Everton.

It's disappointing to lose two points, but we miss Fonte at the back.

Before the game I would have taken a point, but the fact we dominated and should have won is always frustrating - Yet the over the top reaction by some on here makes it sound like we're on a real losing streak.

There are some positives to come from today.

Lallana is on the way back and will replace the mis-firing Ramirez who needs to buck up his ideas, and dropped for the next game, so he can have a shot in the arm.

Morgan showed he can GET into great positions and was unlucky not to score twice, he's being asked to get forward alot more, and the way he makes those runs is excellent.

Jay Rod, looked really sharp, fast and CONFIDENT, he looks a bloody handful and will trouble defences.

We know how to react when we go behind, again we did it against Chelsea and Wigan, that shows we do have some fortitude.

Negatives:

We should not be conceding easy headered goals, Yoshida who has been good made some bad decisions today.

Punch and Ramirez, seem to both be on a different planet.

Clyne, could improve his crossing and generally is very predictable, he doesn't utilise his pace enough.

Bad day in terms of results for other teams.

The problem here is that we don't know where will end up, it was always going to be a rollercoaster, but I think we have the quality to just about keep our heads above water, I still think we can shock a good team soon, we almost did it against Man Utd, we almost shocked city at their place, what worries me is their turn of pace is what we struggle with.

No reason why we can't get a point if we're on our game.

You'd think some people hadn't been watching Saints over the years. This is EXACTLY the sort of thing we do. We've been spoilt in the last two seasons but when we were last up in the Premiership we'd blow leads against poor teams, snatch the occasional equaliser ourselves and then every now and then humble a big club. It'll be tight all the way to the last couple of weeks. Would be nice not to have a last day event put I think it'll go down to somewhere in the last 3 games.

Hold tight and enjoy the ride.

4 points off 13th....have a look at the fixtures next week - if we get a result against City its changes again.

To coin a Nige....don't get too high after a win don't get too low after a defeat...today feels like one admittedly

but todays errors are easily fixed.

Boruc should now take responsibilty and organise his defence to give him extra cover at set pieces.

I know it doesn't really count for anything on here, but it's really enjoyable to watch our matches - especially under MP. We have good spells and bad spells, but basically we are an aggressive, dynamic team with a clear game plan. Look to the Molineux to see what it's like to get in a manager with experience from the English league but absolutely no idea of what kind of football he wants to play...

This project is interesting to see unfold, and it remains to be seen whether MP has the quality to coach the team and whether the players have the quality to deliver results over the next 13 games. I really look forward to it!

The first half wasn't enjoyable to watch, it was deadly dull.

Admittedly we didn't really get our game flowing in the first half, but it was still interesting to see how we tried to adapt and by the end of the half it was all Saints. The second half we looked to have settled and we dominated all 45 minutes. The commentators on the stream noted after our equaliser that Wigan really didn't have an extra gear to shift into; we were controlling this game.

I find it interesting to see how we gradually get a hold of the game - personally I wouldn't call it dull...
