Another great tactical showing from Pochettino

As long as they don't mind playing in the Championship, because I'll say this now, that is were we are headed and there is no point in deluding yourself. The timing of the sacking of NA was an absolute joke and the club is going to pay dearly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not disagreeing with you on this one Dalek.

In hindsight I was proved wrong in 2004 in not wanting Hoddle back - although we should still have been able to secure a replacement and progress without him but thats another story - hope my misgivings here are proved unfounded.

Are we to have one of these Pochettino tactical genius threads after every match? He's only been here three games and we've had two already.

I'll concede that he seems to be capable of good tactical changes halfway through a match, but incapable of the tactical plan to start the match and go into half-time with a lead. Yesterday Martinez got one over him for the first 45 minutes and but for a superb save from Boruc, we would have been two down.

But Adkins often had a record of the team being able to dominate one half too. So I reserve judgement on whether Pochettino is an improvement in that department, as our record of 2 points out of 9 is not brilliant. And as already observed by others, some players are not playing as well as they did, whilst others have improved. Do the tactics suit some players better than others? If so, then time to change the selection to reflect that.

Yes, I think a thread like this after every game is a great idea. Perhaps we can organise a rota so that all the most influential posters take a turn in starting it?

Who isn't playing better?

Lol at your little dig at 2 points out of nine not being good. You do realise the only game we didn't get anything from was away at the team who are 9 points clear at the top of the table and we dominated them. And if your going to go on about Borucs save what about Al Habsis? What about Ramriez missing as easy a chance as you could hope for?

Pochettino set out a good game plan from the start of the game, his selection reflected on players best suited for tactics, and we got 3 points on the board. Indeed it was another great tactical showing from Pochettino...

I think his tactics are spot on, exactly how i wanted the team to play more all season. I looked at the names on the teamsheet earlier this season and thought its a dream team, i think we underperformed under NA and now we are showing what we can really do.
