Frustrating half, lots of possession, but all a bit powder puff really. Our final third pass/touch has been pretty rubbish.

Wigan have been absolutely diabolical, which can only bode well for the 2nd half as we can only get better....

Terrible first half from Yoshida, Punch and Ramirez. We need to be more aggressive, pass the ball faster, and get more people inside the box.

For f***'s sake! All that pressure in the last 5-10 minutes and then go and nearly concede another but for some last-ditch defending. MUST do better in the 2nd half. Get Punch and Ramirez off for Davis and Lallana - they have both been utter gash so far. No creativity up front - no quality in the balls into the box and far too often just running into trouble before releasing the ball.

Well, under MoPo we seem to have forgotten how to score, great spells of possession and passing in all the last three matches has lead to one flukey goal...

Praying for a better 2nd half. As before kickoff, I would take a draw away from home.

We can win this, Wigan really aren't anything to write home about.

It's frustrating isn't it. Wigan have been really poor but we just haven't turned up. If we can put in a 2nd half performance like we did in midweek we will surely win it because they are there for the taking if only we had that little bit of quality that has been completely absent so far.

Yoshida has made several significant errors - not least fro their goal. he doesn't look good enough today.

We really do need our midfield to step up - more shots, more goals needed from them.

I would take Puncheon off at half time and bring lallana on.

Our final ball is so bad, the only player capable of putting in a good ball is the man who should be on the end of them. Still, if we keep the pressure on we really should score at least one. Punch has been wasteful and Ramirez, bar the miss and that pass near the end of the half has been anonymous.

Also, why is Clyne so reluctant to get forward?

Dunno, performance has been much the same as united it's just dominating possession and territory ain't so impressive against Wigan. Unless you're getting gooooals!

Okay, well, even though I wasn't watching so generally have no idea as to our performance... it is only 1-0, so easily overturnable. Not to the panic stations yet.

We can only get better in our attacking performance, that's for sure!

Makes you wish we had 3 Lamberts.

one great pass apart ramirez has done little. if he is playing off the striker he needs to get in the box on occasions. all very well doninating possession again but we need to come alive in box not stand and hope someone else will do it.

shocking display compared to wednesday maybe we burned ourselves out? ramerez keeps losing posession and non existant marking for their goal

This, Ramirez has still shown glimpses of class whereas Puncheon has done nothing.

he hasnt...been an absolute passenger again...and a shocking miss too

Yes he has don`t let your "moaning" get in the way of what has really happened

Nah, Gaston's been poor. Floats around getting knocked off the ball like a feather, and just doesn't get involved enough.

He's atrocious away from home to be honest.

Every ****ing time this happens. We play supposedly "nice football" but as soon as we get into the final third the "strike" is always that ****ing easy-to-defend long ball to Lambert at the back stick. We haven't so much as played a one-two yet.
