Denzil Posted 26 November, 2008 Posted 26 November, 2008 OMG That sh1thole might actually be full tomorrow night.
Colinjb Posted 26 November, 2008 Posted 26 November, 2008 OMG That sh1thole might actually be full tomorrow night. First time this season. But naturally, when they get their 36,000 super stadium which they can obviously afford despite being nearly 100 mill in the red they will easily fill it week in week out, especially when playing the likes of Middlesborough, Hull and West Brom.
mack rill Posted 26 November, 2008 Posted 26 November, 2008 hope you get d*cked you fishy c*nt Ouch!:smt019 Lets hope they are half as good as watching Luggys bunch of ogge bashers A!:smt118

alehouseboys Posted 27 November, 2008 Posted 27 November, 2008 http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2008/nov/27/uefa-portsmouth-milan I did like... "Fratton Park, which every Southampton supporter will tell you is, spelt backwards, "nottarf krap," is the sort of stadium that encourages visitors to wipe their feet on departure" and... "Fratton Park, the Gulag Archipelago of the Premier League, is situated close to the Portsmouth mudflats, in the middle of the hunched houses and tight streets of a busy community and its distance from Milan's San Siro is best measured in light years." also... "Fratton Park now has the look of a cowshed on life support..." and not forgetting... "...Henry James, said rather harshly: "Portsmouth is dirty but it is also dull," when he visited the place in 1879 - and that was 19 years before Fratton Park was built"
scott_saints Posted 27 November, 2008 Posted 27 November, 2008 The changing rooms at Fratton will be more glamorous than the ones at San Siro. Anyone else who has had a tour at the San Siro would be able to confirm this.
alehouseboys Posted 27 November, 2008 Posted 27 November, 2008 "Fratton Park, the Gulag Archipelago of the Premier League, is situated close to the Portsmouth mudflats, in the middle of the hunched houses and tight streets of a inbred community...." :smt103

Thedelldays Posted 27 November, 2008 Posted 27 November, 2008 i am slightly jelous of pompey hosting AC Milan...you just know the papers will be full of it about the "special" atmosphere that fratton gives... makes me puke i hope they get walloped tonight

Oh and we will get walloped tonight, but who cares, we are playing the Mighty AC Milan in a European Game.

Thedelldays Posted 27 November, 2008 Posted 27 November, 2008 fair play to you...really, I mean it..shows you are a million miles from us...but one thing...as quickly as you went up the ladder, you only have to look at us at how quickly you can fall..and I honestly think that fall for you is not far away..you only have to be realistic about the financing required for your new stadium.. now, im not saying you will fall as far as us, BUT one bad season in the next year or two with Adams in charge and you will be in the poo big time... imagine getting relegated and STILL playing at fratton..it will ruin you with the wages you lot are paying... the smug pompey fans seem to have very short memories...

Crouchie's Lawyer Posted 27 November, 2008 Posted 27 November, 2008 There used to be a club called Envy in Pompey
Hatch Posted 27 November, 2008 Posted 27 November, 2008 ****** to them, luck of the draw, they could have been at home to Metalist.
stevegrant Posted 27 November, 2008 Posted 27 November, 2008 4-1, I reckon if Adams - as expected - plays a weakened team. i am slightly jelous of pompey hosting AC Milan...you just know the papers will be full of it about the "special" atmosphere that fratton gives... makes me puke To be fair, we've always milked any praise given to us in the past, so I don't begrudge them their evening tonight. Remember the fuss people made over our 2003 Cup Final appearance, despite (IMO) the atmosphere actually being a bit rubbish (and the team's tactics basically conceding defeat from kick-off), and the 2000-odd turnout in Bucharest... it'll be no different, really. Redknapp's not involved anymore, so it makes it slightly more bearable for me. That said, Pompey fans would do well to take note of everything that's happened to us since Bucharest 2003 - it could very easily happen to them in the not-too-distant future. If people think a £25m debt in the Championship is unmanageable, how about contemplating £100m (and rising), which is the reality Pompey face right now...

No Dull Days you cannot forget 27 odd years of pain, We are not smug, just livin the dream:D.......cos you just never know when fate will creep up behind you and snatch it all away....know what i mean:toimonster:
